WAIHI EAST SCHOOL SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 12/2015

6th May 2015

Kia ora, Congratulations to our amazing sports teams, coaches and supporters for your positive start to the winter sports season. I hope you have a great season. Our thanks to Steven and the Education Services team (school accountant) for sponsoring netball uniforms. Our girls will look fab! Robin Douglas is on a Big Breakfast mission next week. We do like to keep Robin busy and this is one exciting mission (and it doesn’t involve school hoses!). As part of recognizing the contribution our service people have made, we are holding a Big Breakfast on Wednesday (13th) for our local veterans. Our menu is sausages, baked beans, eggs and toast. We would love some helpers. If you are available from 8am on Wednesday to cook and prepare we would appreciate your help. We aim to eat at approximately 9am. Assembly kicks off this week with rooms 4, 6 and 9 presenting. Come along and hear about what has been happening in their classrooms. As always there will be many celebrations of learning. Team East Whanau are meeting on the 18th of May. They would love your company, ideas and positive input. Come along for kai and a cuppa. Please help us to Rise Above and Shine. Phil and the rippa team head to their first tournament on Wednesday. Have a great tournament and enjoy your day in the sun. A massive thanks to Phil for his coaching skills-pure brilliance. Nga mihi nui, Emily (ehargreaves@east.school.nz)
