Student Diversity at CSU
Colorado State University recognizes and celebrates the rich diversity of our university community and welcomes, affirms, and values Rams of all backgrounds. While continuing to increase the number of diverse students on campus is a priority, we are also fiercely committed to building welcoming and inclusive spaces and practices so everyone in our community can thrive. We have provided a variety of resources on the next two pages to assist our diverse Rams as they transition to life at CSU.
RACE, BIAS AND EQUITY INITIATIVE
The Race, Bias, and Equity Initiative at Colorado State University was announced by President Joyce McConnell on Sept. 19, 2019. The initiative aims to implement actionable plans to address issues of race, bias, and equity at CSU and to empower all members of our campus community to learn, work, live and recreate in a safe and welcoming environment.

BIAS REPORTING AT CSU
Any act of hate or bias is counter to the university’s Principles of Community. The Bias Reporting System is an effort to understand and assess the current state of bias-related incidents at Colorado State University in order to better meet the needs of our diverse community. It serves to support individuals who report an incident and those who are named as a target.

The Principles of Community
The Principles of Community support the Colorado State University mission and vision of access, research, teaching, service and engagement. They help CSU express what our community stands for and guide our expectations as we build the next generation of Rams.
