Around Town| Fort Collins

There is no better place to go to school than Fort Collins. Fort Collins is a vibrant college town located just north of Denver with plenty to offer. It is abundant in local eateries, pubs, boutiques, outdoor activities, and sunshine. Here are a few of our favorite spots.

HORSETOOTH RESERVOIR

This 6.5-mile-long reservoir is located just 10 minutes outside of downtown and is a favorite recreation spot of many. At an elevation of 5,430 feet Horsetooth offers an array of hiking, camping, and water activities. It is the perfect outdoor escape.

THE EXCHANGE

The Exchange is a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. Located north of Old Town, The Exchange is a dog-friendly, open-air, entertainment plaza. The first of its kind in Fort Collins and a place where you can enjoy alcoholic beverages, foods, desserts and more in an outdoor, common area.

OLD TOWN

Fort Collins’ historic downtown is always a lively place to hang out. With over 20 restored historical buildings, endless cafes, and boutiques, and constant events happening at all times of the year, Old Town is truly the heart of Fort Collins.

JESSUP FARM

The Jessup Farm Artisan Village is a hidden gem of Fort Collins that many people still don’t know about. Located at the northern end of the Bucking Horse Community on Timberline, the unique renovated farmstead is a great place to get coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping.

ALLEYCAT COFFEE HOUSE

It’s no secret that the Alleycat is one of the most popular coffee shops for college students in Fort Collins. Their diverse menu and cool vibe draw people in to work on homework or just chill with friends.

THE SHOPS AT FOOTHILLS

Located right on College Avenue, The Shops at Foothills is a convenient mall that offers department and chain stores, restaurants, and a movie theatre.
