Type 128-PQC Control Valves Type 128-PQC control valves (figures 1 and 2) are compact, rugged valves designed for on-off control of a variety of fluids at pressures up to 248 bar (3600 psig). These valves are ideal for use as dump valves on oil and gas separators, scrubbers, and treaters and are also suited for many other high-pressure, on-off control applications in oil production or other industries. The Type 128-PQC valve has threaded end connections and is available in 1-inch and 2-inch combination globe- or angle-style valve bodies. These valves feature quick-change trim with an integral cage and seat. The valve plug is stem-guided and is available with either a metal or soft seating surface. A leak-off vent between the packing and actuator permits detection of packing or actuator leakage.

The Type 128-PQC valve is field-convertible from globe- to angle-body style or vice versa by moving a pipe plug between common bottom and left-hand end connections. ! In-Service Reliability—Spring-loaded packing, rugged all-steel valve body and actuator construction, and hardened trim provide longer service life. ! Easy Maintenance—Replacement packing and trim parts are preassembled and packaged to allow fast, easy replacement. ! Field-Reversible Actuator—The Type 128 actuator can be converted in the field from spring-open to spring-close or vice versa without additional parts.

Material Selection Guidelines For nonerosive sour service, use soft-seat or CG6MMN(1) (Nitronic 50 stainless steel) valve plug,
CG6MMN(1) cage, and N07750(1) (Inconel X750) packing spring. For erosive sour service, use austenitic stainless steel plug and cage with tungsten carbide seating surfaces(1) and N07750 packing spring.
1. These materials are listed in NACE Standard MR0175 as being acceptable for direct exposure to sour environment when used under conditions stated in that standard
