Divison 14 IN THIS MONTH’S NEWSLETTER

FALL RALLY

The Division 14/9 Fall Rally will be held on September 26th from 4:30-6:30pm at the Belmar Library in Lakewood. It is very important that ALL CLUB OFFICERS attend! Members are encouraged to attend as well.

DIVISIONAL COUNCIL MEETING DUES ARE DUE… FEATURED SERVICE EVENT KEY LEADER ELIMINATE T-SHIRTS IMPORTANT DATES CALENDAR

The point of a Fall Rally is to give officers training and to interconnect the division. There will also be presentations, snacks, and icebreakers! It’ll be a great opportunity to meet other Key Clubbers from Divisions 9 and 14, while also getting all of your questions answered about your positions and Key Club as a whole!

DIVISIONAL COUNCIL MEETING Our first Divisional Council Meeting will be on September 14th, from 4:306pm. It is important that ALL CLUB PRESIDENTS attend. All officers and members are welcome.

This event will be an ice cream social. Divisional Council Meetings are great for getting to know other Key Clubbers in our Division! We will discuss how our clubs have been doing so far, what has gone well and not so well, and the possibility of putting together a division-wide service project. There will be a speaker from the Blue Spruce Kiwanis and, of course, ice cream!

Please take note of how many members from your clubs will be attending and RSVP by emailing me at rockymountainltg14@gmail.com.

DUES ARE DUE Please keep in mind, ALL DUES are due on December 1st. The Early Bird Award deadline is November 1st. Early Bird Award winners get their clubs recognized at International Convention!

Dues can be paid as early as October 1st, so don’t hesitate to start!

FEATURED SERVICE EVENT Do you like chili and community service?

The Blue Spruce Kiwanis Club is hosting their annual Big Chili Cook-Off at Buchanan Park and they’re always looking for volunteers! There is need for helpers for everything from parking to stage crew.

The event will be on September 10th, 2016. Sign up to volunteer at http://www.bigchili.org/#!volunteers/bu1o s.

KEY LEADER There are two Key Leader dates available in Colorado this October:  

Round-Up River Ranch in Avon, Colorado on October 14th-16th Windy Peak in Bailey, Colorado on October 21st-23rd.

For Key Clubbers, the price of Key Leader is $225. A late fee of $25 will be added for anyone who registers within 7 days of the event.

Remember, you shouldn’t have to pay the full cost!

Traditionally, the payment is split into thirds between the student, their home Key Club, and their sponsoring Kiwanis Club.

Note: If you’ve already attended Key Leader, you can apply to be a student facilitator. The registration fee for student facilitators is $175.

ELIMINATE T-SHIRTS No, we are not going to destroy all of the world’s t-shirts.

We are pushing a huge fundraiser to finalize our efforts to end Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus with the Eliminate Project!

The shirts will be $16 and can be ordered online directly through Custom Ink. I will send out a link in an email once the campaign begins.

We will only be able to sell shirts for a month after the campaign starts, so make sure to start promoting them now!
