An Enchanted Evening by Danae Hollweg and Trevor Tuthill Are you ready to dance the night away in a fairytale wonderland? This year’s DCON dance will be like no other dance you have experienced! We will play rockin’ music from a great DJ with a fantastic variety of the hottest songs, not to mention celebrate our theme of Once Upon a DCON and fundraise for our District Project! Not into jamming out and dancing hard to Jay-Z or Macklemore? There will be much more to the dance than just dancing! Keep an eye out for movies that will be playing in different areas for those that wish to relax for a while. There will also be events available for Key Clubbers to do what we do best – service! We will make tissue paper flowers and cards for children in hospitals supported by the Children’s Miracle Network. It wouldn’t be a Key Club event without some competition and frantic fundraising. How would you like to save a life? Know that directly through your actions you have saved the life of another? The dance will feature miracle minutes to support the Eliminate Project; how much money can we raise in just a minute?! Don’t forget to bring some extra cash to contribute to the cause! Last but by not least, dress code! The dance is casual – t-shirts, shorts, jeans, and tank-tops are fine by us! Make sure not to show too much skin, cover any undergarments, and avoid clothes that you wouldn’t wear to school. We want everyone to have a blast but be appropriate at the same time. Be classy, never trashy! This year’s dance will have something for everyone; consequently everyone should attend and have the time of their lives! The Rocky Mountain District Convention Committee can ‘t wait to see YOU at the Dance to Eliminate on Saturday, April 5! Come ready to have a night you’ll never forget and to make friends that will last a lifetime.
