Graduating Senior Ceremony Instructions: The Graduating Seniors Ceremony should be performed prior to graduation. The ceremony may be a part of a club meeting or done in conjunction with a special meal or event honoring the graduating seniors. Options:  Have one designate read the ceremony, while another designate shakes hands and distributes member pins as names are announced. The designate could be current officers who are not graduating, the president and vice-president elect, the Lieutenant Governor, or anyone else that you see fit.  Read a graduation poem or story before or after the ceremony.  Have graduating members stand on stage/front of room or stand in audience.  Provide a small gift or token of appreciation for graduating seniors: A Key Club graduation medallion, a Key Club graduation stole, or Circle K International merchandise. Ceremony: “As members of the (insert club name) Key Club, you, the graduating seniors are valued to us. Through service we have developed friendships and a commitment to helping others. <Read off graduating members names, optional> <As they are called, have them come up to receive their pin or other parting gift> You have served well your home, school, and community. You have maintained the club and assisted it to grow into the vital organization it is today. We will follow in your footsteps and continue to provide service, build strong character, and develop our leadership skills. Graduation does not signify the end but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to service through the Kiwanis-Family. We thank you for your leadership, love for service, and friendship. It has been our privilege to serve with you. We wish you well and inspire you with this quote by C. Hoppe, „I hope that my achievements in life shall be these - that I will have fought for what was right and fair, that I will have risked for that which mattered, and that I will have given help to those who were in need, and that I will have left the earth a better place for what I've done and who I've been.‟ Please join me in congratulating our graduating members.”
