Key Club has dedicated itself to helping the children of the world, especially since the adoption of the Major Emphasis. Here are some of the service partners we work with to accomplish our goals.
Children’s Miracle Network: Hospitals Helping Kids
The Children’s Miracle Network is a non -profit organization focused on helping hospitalized kids by raising funds and awareness at over 170 hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. Your Key Club can help by going to www.cmn.org to find a Children’s Miracle Network near you and learn how your club can get involved! Some projects your cub can do include… Provide trauma dolls or other toys for children Create a library or playroom at a Children’s Hospital Raise money for specific pieces of equipment needed at hospitals
March of Dimes: Serving babies, together
Every day 1 in 8 babies born in the U.S. arrives too soon. Premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman, and no one knows why. It is a serious, common, and costly problem. Key Club members are helping by raising thousands of dollars annually for the March of Dimes Youth Program, helping to prevent prematurely born babies and assist those that are born early. Some projects your club can do to help March of Dimes includes… Raising Funds for the organization Participate in the March for Babies, which normally takes place in late April. Unicef
UNICEF is the only organization of the United Nations dedicated exclusively to children. UNICEF works with other United Nation bodies, governments, and non-governmental organizations to assist in children’s needs through community-based services in primary health care, basic education, and safe water and sanitation in more than 150 developing countries.
