WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a fabulous summer! The month of July has been a very busy but exciting one for me. I started off the month by traveling to Atlanta, Georgia to attend International Convention. It was such a fun and enriching experience and I’d recommend that you go if you ever get the chance. When I returned from ICON I had a day to relax and then left for a vacation to California, which is where I’m writing to you from. It’s been a great opportunity to relax as well as work on planning out what I want to accomplish throughout the rest of my term!

ICON Recap On July 3rd, members of the Rocky Mountain District traveled to Georgia for a week full of fun. To start off our trip, we visited the beach and watched fireworks along the Savanah river. The next day we took a trolley tour of downtown Savanah, and then set out for Atlanta. While in Atlanta, we went to CNN and the World of Coke. After sightseeing, it was time for the convention to start. During convention we had the chance to attend workshops, caucus and vote for the new International board, and make friends from all over the world. In the end we elected a new International board, consisting of International President Devin Sun, International Vice President Mary Grace Lewis, and 11 International Trustees. Rocky Mountain’s own, Audrey Dilgarde, was elected as an International Trustee, and we could not be prouder of her! The morning after convention ended, we took one final stop at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, then we headed to the airport to fly home. ICON was an unforgettable experience and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to go.
