Rocky Mountain District Key Club Division 12 May/June NEWSLETTER:
Introduction:
Hello everyone I hope you’ve all had great starts to your summers. This is just the second newsletter of many to come. I combined May and June because the information between the two months wasn’t plentiful enough to produce entire newsletters. So without further ado here are some updates:
District Administration News: As of June 6th, the Rocky Mountain Key Club Administrative Board has resigned. Because I was unable to attend the June RMD Board meeting I am still not 100% on who makes up the new admin board, as of now. So to avoid confusion I will hold off on relaying that information and save it for next month.
Brief Business Summaries Starting in August:
We will be starting a new article in these newsletter in which every Key Club in our division submits a brief summary of their activities towards the ends of EVERY month for me to display in my newsletters. So please have either an individual such as a member of your office positions submit those this coming August 24th. It is a good bonding activity for the club I’ve come to find and as far as what to include for content, HAVE FUN WITH IT! This is a good way to get in touch with other Key Clubs on group projects, highlight those in the club who have gone above and beyond, or simply relay events the club has taken part in.
Divisional Rally: The divisional rally is where the Key Clubs in a division will come together to directly discuss activities such as service projects and the future of the division. I have received some of the details from superiors and am told it will take place in the fall so I will be contacting all club sponsors to follow up on that as far as what dates work for them.
Riddles of the Month: Answers will be posted in next month’s newsletter • What is once in a minute, twice in a moment, and never in a thousand years? • I know a word of letters three. Add two, and fewer there will be. • A hundred feet in the air, but its back is on the ground. What is it?

President: will be planning, organizing, and carrying out responsibilities associated with your role as the club’s chief executive officer.
Secretary: The office of the secretary is one of the most demanding in the Key Club organization because the secretary manages all of the club’s records, files, and details.
Sponsor: Active sponsorship of a new Club involves the participation of the sponsoring Club's members in the selection of and regular contact with the nucleus of the charter roster, guidance through preliminary steps and attendance at a majority of the pre-organizational meetings.
Service: The action of helping or doing work for someone. Treasurer: The office of club treasurer is important because the treasurer is in control of the club’s money, its collection, and disbursement.
Meet the Crew: Olivia Becker I live in Fort Collins, Colorado and go to Rocky Mountain High School in Rocky Mountain District's Division 16. Aside from volunteering, I like to run, play clarinet, and sing in choir. Key Club was my first high school club because I had an amazing experience being in K-Kids in elementary school. 2016-17 will be my fourth year in Key Club and my second year serving on the District Board. As secretary my job is to keep track of district documents. If you have any objective Key Club questions that just need to be looked up by someone with resources, I am your person! I also take notes called Minutes at our board meetings. This year one of my goals is to connect Key Club members to the District level by making information like Minutes accessible to everyone. I am so excited for everything Key Club in the coming year and I hope you are, too!
