MILE-HIGH KEY CLUB NEWS Rocky Mountain District Division 3 September Newsletter

Fall Rally Recap Divisions 15 and 3 gathered at the Ross University Hills Branch Library on Sept. 28 to learn more about Key Club, meet their Lt. Governors and play some team-bonding activities! Overall, Fall Rally was a success and a great learning and training experience for club officers. If you did not make it this year, no worries! There is a Fall Rally every year, and usually in September. It is highly recommended that club officers attend to get trained for the upcoming year! Also, I would like to thank all the amazing Key Clubbers and Kiwanians who did attend 

KEY LEADER Key Leader is a three-day experiential leadership program that challenges the leader in you and helps you understand the true meaning or service. When? Express Service Project: Cards for Children’s Hospitals If you or your club needs a quick, effective service project for a meeting, you can easily make cards for children’s hospitals across the country by working with the non-profit organization Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK). To contribute to their cause, simply purchase materials or ask your art teacher to lend them to your club, and get creative! Here are some guidelines you need to follow when making these cards for the safety and emotional stability of the children: http://www.cardsforhospitalizedkids.c om/make-general-cards.html

We made card for children’s hospitals at Fall Rally!

Major Emphasis: Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF! Coming up! That’s right—it’s almost October, and that means Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is right around the corner. According to their website: Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began in 1950 as a way to help kids who need more than candy. Since then, children all over America have gone door-todoor on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out, "Trick-orTreat for UNICEF!" They have raised more than $175 million for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF since 1950.” Order your boxes today and get your club involved! https://www.unicefusa.org/form/trick-or-treat/boxorder

A Message for Isabelle Aboaf, our RMD Projects and ELIMINATE Chair Hey Rocky Mountain District! Isabelle here, your District Projects/ELIMINATE Committee Chair. On September 21st we opened our ELIMINATE t-shirt campaign! When your club members buy a shirt for $16, they are not just getting an awesome shirt, but are donating in part to The Eliminate Project. This campaign only lasts for 30 days, so we need to get as many shirts as possible in the time frame! The district goal is 120 shirts, but the club with the most shirt sales will receive an award at DCON! To order your shirts, the process is easy.  Individuals

can order their own shirt and have it shipped to their house for a small shipping fee.  Clubs can order their members' shirts all at once, and have them shipped to the school (more cost-effective). Simply collect orders/money and an advisor can make the order for everyone. Either way, visit https://booster.com/rmd-eliminate to access the shirt and order form. It's quick and easy! Thanks for all your hard work! Let's make our LAST year fundraising for ELIMINATE a successful one! Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Yours in service, Isabelle Aboaf
