Home: Plato, MO (Texas County) On July 7th, 2017, our twins Lexi and Levi were born at 34 weeks and had to be taken directly to the NICU where they would stay for 2 weeks. The NICU nurses worked with the Ronald McDonald House and had us a room upon my hospital discharge. My husband and I were so thankful and relieved to be able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, as we worried about the expense of a hotel and not being able to travel back and forth from the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House staff made us feel so welcome and gave us a room within Mercy Hospital so we could be close to the babies and be there for every feeding. They provided us with a nice room, shower, laundry facilities, hot meals every evening and a playroom where our older child could play. You could tell their staff truly cared for all of us guests and would do anything to make our hospital stay less stressful. We were truly blessed and thankful for the Ronald McDonald House.
