Gilliam-Binam Family
Home: Green Forest, AR (Carroll County, AR)
On July 7th, 2018, our world was turned upside down when a drunk driver collided with
our family head-on in Carroll County, Arkansas. Our two sons, Thomas (four) and Terry (three) were airlifted to Mercy Kids in Springfield, Missouri. Thomas had internal bleeding and Terry suffered from a broken femur. Our youngest daughter Kynslie (one), had scratches and bruises and was taken by ambulance with their stepfather, Michael, who had sustained a broken wrist, three fractured vertebrae, and needed 17 stitches on his face. Their father, Mason, was also taken by ambulance to Mercy in Arkansas and was later airlifted to Mercy in Springfield, Missouri. Mason had sustained a fractured face and a shattered ankle. This was a traumatic experience for our whole family and we were unsure where we would stay or how we would eat until we were introduced to the Ronald McDonald House at Mercy Kids. They gave us a place to stay and a warm meal each night. The staff genuinely understood and cared about our family and what we were going through. We were so blessed and very thankful for all they did.
