On November 12, 2017, our family of six was surprised when Binaiah decided to
make his entrance a month early. Being a month early, Binaiah had a few medical difficulties that landed him in the NICU for a week. While we are incredibly blessed by our short stay, it was an emotional rollercoaster none the less. We asked ourselves many questions, such as “Will he be ok?”, “How are we going to afford this?”, “What will we do with our other three kiddos while we are in the hospital?”, “Will we leave him in the NICU by himself over night?”, “When will we get to take Binaiah home to be with his brothers and sister?” and so many other questions that constantly tossed in our minds. Within two days, we were told we could stay at the Ronald McDonald House, and it was a tremendous blessing we will FOREVER be grateful for. The Ronald McDonald House provided us a welcoming place to call our temporary home. We were blessed to have a comfortable place to sleep where all of our kids could stay with us, a delicious meal every night, a place to shower, and sincere people to encourage us every day. What our family experienced at the Ronald McDonald House could never be repaid. We have found a non-profit we believe in 110%. We have found a place our family will forever be a part of giving back to, and we found a place of peace during a difficult time. The Ronald McDonald House is a crucial part of our community, and we will never be able to say “thank you” enough.
