Family Home: Protem, MO (Taney County) On April 24th, 2017, our baby girl was born. She got off to a rough start after inhaling the meconium, causing her oxygen to be low. She was taken to the NICU where she was hooked up to IVs and all sorts of wires. She spent the next eight days there, which felt like months, and was the most stressful time of our lives. The hospital got us set up with the Ronald McDonald House, and it felt like a miracle when everything else was going wrong. It was a home with a warm and very comfy bed, a meal when we needed it, and it lifted all the stress of daily life. When we got to our room the first night, I laid on the bed and burst into tears because someone was taking care of us, and all we had to worry about was our little girl. They made us feel like family, and we are forever grateful.
