Home: Lebanon, MO (Laclede County) In September of 2016, Gabrielle arrived 12 weeks early. We had no warning but suddenly found ourselves in the hospital loving our tiny, 2 lb. 6 oz. baby through the arm holes of an Isolette. She stayed in NICU for the next 121 days, and we were blessed to stay at the Ronald McDonald House that whole time. The House was our new home base, our new normal. Staying at the House made our lives easier during what was actually the hardest time of our lives. We relied on the House for not just a bed and shower, but also laundry, dinner, and community. Our little Gabrielle took her tour of all the breathing machines and tried so hard to learn to eat before ultimately coming home one day before her four-month birthday with oxygen and a feeding tube. We now have a wonderfully joyful and sweet one-year-old who is tube free and catching up on all her milestones! She is our miracle, and we are so incredibly thankful for the Ronald McDonald House and everyone who helped us bring her home.
