SUMMER 2021
Price Cutter Charity Championship Mark your calendars for the 32nd annual Korn Ferry Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper July 22-25 at Highland Springs Country Club. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks has been a beneficiary since the inception of this event in 1990, providing nearly $1.3 million in support to our organization alone. More than half of the annual funding we receive through this event is from TLC Properties’ CHARITY SWEEPSTAKES TICKETS. The program features 500 prizes valued at $25 each, giving every Sweepstakes ticketholder a 1 in 16 chance to win a prize. In addition, every ticketholder also has a 1 in 8,000 chance to win a 2021 Toyota Tundra pickup truck or a $10,000 cash prize. Sweepstakes tickets are available NOW for $25 each. One-hundred-percent of your purchase will benefit the children and families of our two Ronald McDonald Houses if you designate RMHC as your preferred charity. Each Sweepstakes Ticket also serves as a grounds season pass for the tournament, July 22-25. Visit our website at rmhcozarks.org/events/price-cutter-charity-championship/ to purchase your tickets TODAY and help spread the word!

28TH ANNUAL
“Share a Heart” Campaign Kansas City Chiefs
Red Friday Get ready to rally! Red Friday is back in the Ozarks for the 5th year! This fall, we’ll celebrate Kansas City Chiefs fans on the day-long Kansas City Chiefs Red Friday celebration designed to capture the excitement of the start of the NFL season by bringing the Chiefs and communities throughout Chiefs Kingdom together to kick off the year. In addition to being a rallying point for Chiefs fans, Red Friday is a chance for the community to make a difference in the lives of local children and families. Although we are still awaiting the announcement of the official date of the 2021 Kansas City Chiefs Red Friday, check out this year’s flag! Additional details coming soon. Be sure to capture photos of your crew and customers cheering on the Chiefs during this event and send them to Amber.Price@RMHCozarks. org to be featured in the next issue of Sharing Happy.
The 28th Annual Share a Heart Campaign was a great success! We are very thankful to each of you for all of your efforts, despite the challenges of COVID and the wintry weather. You all are impressive, to say the least! During the month of February, the Share a Heart Campaign took place in 63 local McDonald’s restaurants throughout Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. This year, we raised more than $110,000 through the support provided by all of you at McDonald’s of the Ozarks, as well as our generous sponsors, media partners and mayors of your towns. Every donated dollar goes directly to support Springfield’s two Ronald McDonald Houses, making a significant impact on our annual operating expenses of over $900,000. Your commitment to the Share a Heart Campaign makes all the difference and we can’t thank you enough! We congratulate the following stores and individuals for going above and beyond this year!

A Heartfelt Gift from the McGeehans
Local Owner/Operators Chip & Teresa McGeehan have made an extraordinary commitment of $100,000 to RMHC of the Ozarks to support our Ronald McDonald House programs! Their initial gift of $10,000 in 2021 is underwriting a new awning for the large back deck at the Ronald McDonald House near Cox South, as well as a new air-conditioning unit. Each year, they will review our needs lists and offer continued help until reaching their amazing commitment of $100,000. When talking about RMHC, Chip and Teresa’s enthusiasm and caring spirits are so bright and inspirational. We are forever grateful for their continued generosity in so many ways.
Round-Up For RMHC
We are so excited to report your success with the Round-up for RMHC program! Since the program began in the summer of 2019, McDonald’s of the Ozarks employees have raised nearly $160,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks. At the end of last year, you really stepped up and raised an impressive $78,500 of that total in just two months! We are also working hard to provide future opportunities promoting Round-up for RMHC and recognizing the crews that make it happen for our local organization. Every time you ask a customer to round up, you are helping the next family of the Ronald McDonald House. We are grateful, and you should be proud knowing that YOU are making a difference in the lives of local Ozarks’ families.

A special shout-out to our McDonald’s Owner/Operators for the delicious gift of Frozen Beverage Be Our Guest Cards to all RMHC volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week in April. Your amazing generosity is felt by every person in our RMHC family!
Thank you to the Blumenstock Organization for helping prepare our yard at the Ronald McDonald House near Cox South for spring. This group worked hard picking up leaves, trimming back shrubs and getting our yard ready for families as they have for the last several years. We are so grateful for their help to create a welcoming environment for our families and their commitment to our organization!
When the Tooth Truck visited West Plains for the first time ever this past spring, the Hilburn-Vaini Organization donated more than 450 coupons for free food items and three boxes of Happy Meal toys for us to distribute to patients! The Tooth Truck spent 10 weeks at West Plains schools, completing the treatment plans of 273 patients with services valued at $333,156.
DID YOU KNOW: During the entire year of 2021, RMHC receives 2¢ for every McDonald’s Happy Meal sold? So far this year, our McDonald’s restaurants in the Ozarks have sold 638,825 Happy Meals, resulting in $12,776.50 for our RMHC of the Ozarks Chapter!
