Art Is Everywhere

Drop into one or more of the many private galleries or The Museum of Art Fort Collins featuring a diverse showing of travelling exhibitions and the work of local and regional artists.

On campus at Colorado State University, stop into Gregory Alicar Museum of Art to view the permanent collections or a current exhibition. Or check out Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising to learn about people and their textiles, dress and interior furnishings. Get into the act yourself at Pinot’s Palette or Painting with a Twist where you sip wine while you paint under the direction of an artist. Or dig in on a DIY project at Board & Brush workshop.

Why have a blank wall, when you can have art?

The Fort Collins Mural Project collaborates with local artists, businesses and art lovers to promote contemporary art in public spaces and to empower emerging local artists, beautify the city of Fort Collins, and build community through art, fcmuralproject.org.

the Lincoln Center stages where national and local acts play the main stage and local troupes, such as Open Stage and Debut Theatre, perform in the more intimate theater. Or check out the schedule at Bas Bleu Theatre, a beloved venue that was reclaimed as a performance space from a historic machine shop.

On the classical end, Fort Collins enjoys an opera company, a symphony and a ballet troupe.
