SPORTS NEWS We are always keen to hear about, and celebrate, the girls’ out of school sporting successes as well as those within School. If your daughter/ward has competed in any sporting activity outside School and you would like us to share in their training and successes , do please let us know! Gymnastics Success for Amelia (Year 8) In March, Amelia D competed with her team from the Heathrow Gymnastics Club in the Southern Region Team Gym Championships. The team came first meaning they definitely qualify for the British Championships again at the end of July at Liverpool Echo Arena. Amelia is also off to Dundee for a leg of the European TeamGym Cup on 7th May and then qualify for the Italian leg on 11/12 June. We wish Amelia and her team every success in these forthcoming events, and look forward to sharing the news of her achievements with you.
Golf Success for Grace (Year 9) Congratulations to Grace H on a couple of recent golf successes. Over the Easter holiday, Grace competed in the Brookmans Park Junior Open, where, despite some difficult weather conditions and some tough competition in the shape of 30 boys and 4 girls, Grace came away in nett 1st position with a nett 68. Grace also played in the Hertfordshire County Under 16s Spring Meeting, where she came joint 3rd (but 4th on count back). Grace has more competitions coming up, including the Schools Mid Handicap Trophy, so we will keep you up to date with her progress.
