Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team opens Northeast Conference action with a two-game homestand at the Charles L. Sewall Center, beginning Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. tip against Sacred Heart. • The Colonials wrapped up the non-conference portion of their 2015-16 slate with 7967 loss @ Georgia (12/29/15). Senior guard Rodney Pryor paced RMU with a gamehigh 22 points and also added eight rebounds and four steals. • Junior guard Kavon Stewart contributed 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals against the Bulldogs, while sophomore forward Elijah Minnie came off the bench and supplied 13 points, five boards and a pair of blocks. • The Colonials concluded the 2015-16 non-conference season having lost five games by seven points or less and another in overtime (New Mexico State). • Senior guard Rodney Pryor has eclipsed the 20-point plateau in six consecutive games, averaging 24.3 points per game over that span, and enters play Saturday as the top scorer in the Northeast Conference (21.7 ppg). • Junior guard Kavon Stewart enters Northeast Conference action having averaged 10.5 points and 5.0 assists in his last four games. Stewart ranks third in the league in assists (4.23 per game) and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.62). • In its last game before Christmas, Robert Morris suffered a 72-65 setback @ Duquesne (12/19/15). Sophomore forward Elijah Minnie garnered game-high accolades in points (23) and rebounds (12), registering his first double-double of the season and fourth of his career. • RMU picked up its first home victory of the 2015-16 campaign with a 69-67 win over Lehigh (12/17/15) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. Senior guard Rodney Pryor came off the bench and scored a game-high 20 points while also leading RMU in rebounds (6) and assists (5). • Freshman guard Matty McConnell contributed a career-high 13 points in the win over the Mountain Hawks, while junior guard Kavon Stewart finished with 11 points and four assists. As a team, Robert Morris shot a season-high 53.1 percent (26-for-49) from the field against Lehigh. • Despite converting just 29.7 percent (92-for-310) of its attempts from beyond the arc through 13 games this season, Robert Morris is shooting and even 50 percent (221-for442) in two-point field goal attempts. Senior guard Rodney Pryor has converted 57.7 percent (71-for-123) of his attempts inside the three-point arc. • Robert Morris concludes a two-game homestand to open Northeast Conference play after hosting the Pioneers Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. tip against Wagner Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
