Top Story - The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team concludes a five-game road trip Saturday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. tip against Central Connecticut State at Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, Conn. The Colonials, who are 3-1 (.750) during their road swing, are coming off an 84-53 victory @ Bryant (1/5/12) in which redshirt junior guard Velton Jones led RMU with 15 points while adding seven assists and four steals. Sophomore forward Mike McFadden added 10 points, three rebounds and two steals as eight different Colonials contributed at least seven points in the victory. Robert Morris shot 48.4 percent (31-for-64) from the field against the Bulldogs, including 51.5 percent (17-for-33) in the second half in grabbing its largest lead of the contest, 71-44, with 6:33 to play. The Colonials return home to the Charles L. Sewall Center for a two-game homestand after taking on the Blue Devils Saturday, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. tip against Quinnipiac Thursday, Jan. 12.
