Top Story - The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team makes its annual two-game swing through of the state of New Jersey, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. tip Thursday against Fairleigh Dickinson at Stratis Arena in Teaneck, N.J. The Colonials are coming off a 70-67 victory over Sacred Heart (1/14/12) as senior forward Lawrence Bridges hit three free throws in the final 51 seconds to help lift RMU to the win. Redshirt sophomore guard Coron Williams paced Robert Morris in its victory over the Pioneers with 20 points, converting eight of his 13 attempts from the field, including a 4-for-6 performance from long range. Redshirt junior guard Velton Jones added 18 points, five assists and three steals in his first game off the bench in over two years. The Colonials shot 49 percent (24-for-49) from the field against the Pioneers, their highest shooting percentage at home on the 2011-12 campaign. Robert Morris concludes its two-game road trip after taking on Fairleigh Dickinson Thursday night with a 7:00 p.m. tip @ Monmouth Saturday in West Long Branch, N.J.
