Sewall Center for a two-game homestand Thursday night looking to extend its winning streak to a season-high four games with a 7:00 p.m. tip against LIU Brooklyn. The Colonials are coming off an 81-73 overtime victory @ Monmouth (1/12/12) in which redshirt junior guard Velton Jones led RMU with 35 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor, including 6-for-11 from long range, and a 9-for-14 performance at the free-throw line. Jones also added six assists and three steals in the victory. Sophomore guard Anthony Myers came off the bench and scored all of his career-high 16 points in the second half and overtime as Robert Morris climbed out of a 15-point deficit in the second half, the biggest comeback for the Colonials under second-year head coach Andrew Toole. The Colonials close out their homestand after hosting the Blackbirds Thursday by entertaing St. Francis (N.Y.) Saturday, Jan. 28, at 7:00 p.m. Quick Stat of the Night - Despite suffering back-to-back losses for the first time in nearly a year earlier this month, January has been extremely kind to Robert Morris over the last five years.
