Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team, winners of four straight and six of its last seven contests, concludes a two-game homestand at the Charles L. Sewall Center Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. tip against Bryant. • The Colonials opened their homestand with an 87-65 win over Fairleigh Dickinson (1/29/15) as junior guard Rodney Pryor registered his first collegiate double-double. Pryor established career highs in both points (28) and rebounds (11), shooting 10-for-14 from the floor, including 7-for-10 from beyond the arc. • Also scoring in double figures in the victory over the Knights was freshman guard Marcquise Reed, who supplied 14 points and five assists. Senior forward Lucky Jones chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds, while junior forward Aaron Tate tied a career high with 10 points and posted five boards. • RMU established season highs in points (87), three-point field goals (11) and assists (22) in its win over Fairleigh Dickinson (1/29/15) and during its four-game winning streak is averaging 75.5 points per game while shooting 50 percent (108-for-216) from the field, including 51.7 percent (31-for-60) from beyond the arc. • The trio of junior guard Rodney Pryor, freshman guard Marcquise Reed and senior forward Lucky Jones has combined to supply the Colonials with an average of 48.1 points over the last four games while shooting 53.4 percent (70-for-131) from the field, including 55.6 percent (25-for-45) from deep. • Robert Morris enters Saturday’s game against Bryant leading the Northeast Conference in league games in field goal percentage (.486) and three-point field goal percentage (.440). • Freshman guard Marcquise Reed has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week a league-high four times after garnering the honor Jan. 19, 2015. Reed is just third player in program history to earn NEC Rookie of the Week accolades at least four times. Former guard Karon Abraham (2009-11) also earned the honor four times in 2009-10, while former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) was bestowed the accolade five times in 2005-06. • Senior forward Lucky Jones became RMU’s all-time leading rebounder by grabbing nine boards against St. Francis Brooklyn (1/16/15). Jones is RMU’s active leader in points (1,450) and rebounds (789) entering Saturday’s tilt against Bryant and also owns career totals of 173 assists and 155 steals. • Robert Morris opens the month of February with a two-game road trip after hosting the Bulldogs Saturday. The Colonials will travel to Brooklyn, N.Y., for a 7:00 p.m. tip against LIU Brooklyn at the WRAC Thursday, Feb. 5, before closing out the swing with a 4:30 p.m. tip @ Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday, Feb. 7.
