Top Story - The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team concludes a two-game homestand at the Charles L. Sewall Center Saturday when it welcomes Wagner for a 7:00 p.m. tip. The Colonials are coming off a 60-48 victory over in-state rival Saint Francis U. (2/6/13) for their second straight win as sophomore forward Lucky Jones led RMU with a career-high 20 points on the strength of a perfect 13-for-13 performance at the free-throw line. Junior guard Karvel Anderson added 17 points, while redshirt senior forward Russell Johnson finished with seven points and a game-high nine rebounds. The Colonials shot just 38.6 percent (17-for-44) from the field against the Red Flash but held SFU to a shooting percentage of 36.6 percent (15-for-41) in allowing their lowest point total of the 2012-13 campaign with 48 points. RMU returns to the road for a pair of games after hosting the Seahawks, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. tip against Quinnipiac at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn., Thursday, Feb. 14.

Quick Stat of the Night - Sophomore forward Lucky Jones has come a long way shooting the ball since his debut in a Robert Morris uniform back in November of 2011, and he seems to be peaking at the right time for the Colonials. Jones finished 13-for-13 at the free-throw line in a 60-48 victory over Saint Francis U. (2/6/13) and enters Saturday’s game against Wagner having converted each of his last 17 attempts at the charity stripe over RMU’s last three games. It’s part of stretch in which Jones has shot 85.7 percent (36-for-42) from the stripe in his last seven games since returning to the starting lineup. Even with the recent surge for Jones, the 17 consecutive free throws converted isn’t the longest streak in his career. Earlier this season, Jones was successful on 23 straight free throws before having it snapped in a 61-58 win @ Campbell (12/4/12).
