Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team closes out the 2014-15 regular season with a pair of games at the Charles L. Sewall Center, beginning Thursday, Feb. 26, with a 7:00 p.m. tip against Wagner. • RMU is coming off a 76-70 victory @ Bryant (2/21/15), as the Colonials closed the game on a 13-3 run to earn the win. Junior guard Rodney Pryor led all scorers in the contest with 24 points and also added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. • Pryor led four Colonials in double figures against the Bulldogs, as senior forward Lucky Jones contributed 14 points and six rebounds off the bench. Freshman guard Marcquise Reed added 13 points, while freshman forward Elijah Minnie scored 12 points. • Robert Morris, currently in a three-way tie for second place in the Northeast Conference with a 10-6 league mark, has finished .500 or better in league play 12 straight years, the longest streak in NEC history. Fairleigh Dickinson won at least half of its conference games 11 years in a row from 1981 to 1992. • Robert Morris leads the Northeast Conference against league foes in both field goal percentage (.478) and three-point field goal percentage (.407) while ranking second in freethrow percentage (.743). • Senior forward Lucky Jones enters Thursday’s game against Wagner having scored in double figures in each of the 10 games he’s played at the Charles L. Sewall Center this season as well as 15 consecutive home games dating back to last year. This year at home, Jones is averaging 15.3 points and 6.9 rebounds at “The Chuck.” • Freshman guard Marcquise Reed has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week a league-high six times after garnering the honor Feb. 9, 2015. Reed has established a new program record for most NEC Rookie of the Week accolades, breaking the old record of five set by former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) during his rookie campaign in 2005-06. • Through 16 games against Northeast Conference opponents, sophomore guard Kavon Stewart has registered a league-high 31 steals, an average of 1.94 thefts per game that leads the circuit. Stewart is looking to become the first member of the Colonials to lead the NEC in conference games in steals since former guard Velton Jones (2008-13) in 2011-12. • Senior forward Lucky Jones became RMU’s all-time leading rebounder by grabbing nine boards against St. Francis Brooklyn (1/16/15). Jones is RMU’s active leader in points (1,519) and rebounds (815) entering Thursday’s game against Wagner and also owns career totals of 181 assists and 159 steals. • Robert Morris concludes the 2014-15 regular season after hosting the Seahawks Thursday with a 4:00 p.m. tip against in-state rival Saint Francis U. Saturday, Feb. 28.
