Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team concludes the 2014-15 regular season Saturday by hosting in-state rival Saint Francis U. at the Charles L. Sewall Center for a 4:00 p.m. tip. • The Colonials opened their final homestand with a 91-59 victory over Wagner (2/26/15) as junior guard Rodney Pryor scored a game-high 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 5-for-6 from beyond the arc, and a 6-for-7 performance at the free-throw line. He also added five rebounds and a career-high six assists. • Joining Pryor in double figures against Wagner was freshman guard Marcquise Reed, senior forward Lucky Jones and freshman forward Elijah Minnie. Reed contributed 20 points, Jones supplied 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench while Minnie tied a career high with 13 points. • RMU, currently tied with Bryant for second place in the Northeast Conference with an 11-6 league mark, has finished .500 or better in league play 12 straight years, the longest streak in NEC history. Fairleigh Dickinson won at least half of its conference games 11 years in a row from 1981 to 1992. • Robert Morris leads the Northeast Conference against league foes in both field goal percentage (.482) and three-point field goal percentage (.427) while ranking second in freethrow percentage (.738). • In five seasons under head coach Andrew Toole, the Colonials own a record of 31-8 (.795) in the month of February. In seven games this month, Robert Morris is averaging 71.3 points per game while shooting 49.4 percent (193-for-391) from the field, including 43.1 percent (44-for-102) from beyond the arc. • Senior forward Lucky Jones enters Saturday’s game against Saint Francis U. having scored in double figures in each of the 11 games he’s played at the Charles L. Sewall Center this season as well as 16 consecutive home games dating back to last year. This year at home, Jones is averaging 15.3 points and 7.0 rebounds at “The Chuck.” • Freshman guard Marcquise Reed, a six-time Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, established a new RMU freshman record for 20-point scoring games in a 91-59 victory over Wagner (2/26/15). Reed has eclipsed the 20-point plateau nine times this season after scoring 20 points against the Seahawks, breaking the old record of eight that was established by former guard Myron Walker (1990-94) in 1990-91. • Through 17 games against Northeast Conference opponents, sophomore guard Kavon Stewart has registered a league-high 33 steals, an average of 1.94 thefts per game that leads the circuit. Stewart is looking to become the first member of the Colonials to lead the NEC in conference games in steals since former guard Velton Jones (2008-13) in 2011-12.
