Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team opens a five-game road trip Sunday with its first of four games in the Air Force Classic. The Colonials will take on the host Falcons in a 4:00 p.m. eastern time tip.

• RMU dropped its 2015-16 home opener to Bucknell (11/18/15), 81-76, at the Charles L. Sewall Center in its last contest. Senior guard Rodney Pryor led four players in double figures for Robert Morris with 15 points and also added six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

• Also reaching double figures in scoring for the Colonials against the Bison were junior guard Kavon Stewart (14), freshman guard Isaiah Still (13) and sophomore guard Andre Frederick (10). Still was making his first collegiate start against Bucknell, while Frederick posted his first career double-figure scoring game.

• Despite dropping two of its first three games of the 2015-16 season by a total of six points, Robert Morris has posted a record of 41-22 (.650) in six seasons under head coach Andrew Toole in contests decided by five points or less.

• Sophomore forward Elijah Minnie contributed a career-high 15 points and nine rebounds in RMU’s 2015-16 season opener @ Penn (11/13/15) and established career highs in assists (4), steals (3) and minutes played (36) against Bucknell (11/18/15).

• Robert Morris returns four starters and six letterwinners from a 2014-15 squad that finished with an overall record of 20-15 (.571), including a 12-6 (.667) mark in the Northeast Conference. The Colonials posted their 10th consecutive winning season.

• RMU earned its eighth NEC Tournament title and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and posted its first victory in the Big Dance since 1983 and second overall in program history with an 81-77 win over North Florida (3/18/15) in the 2015 NCAA First Four. In the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Colonials fell to eventual national champion Duke (3/20/15), 85-56.

• RMU was tabbed second in the 2015 NEC Preseason Coaches Poll, the 10th consecutive year the Colonials have been picked to finish in the top three in the league.

• Senior guard Rodney Pryor led RMU in scoring last season at 15.6 points per game and was named the 2015 NEC Tournament MVP. In three games of the NEC Tournament, Pryor averaged 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

• From the 2007-08 season through 2014-15, Robert Morris compiled an overall record of 183-96 (.656), with the 183 victories ranking ninth among mid-major programs in the eight-year span. Head Coach Andrew Toole Sixth Season • Penn, 2003 • @AndyToole When it came time for Robert Morris University Director of Athletics Craig Coleman, M.D., to name a new head coach for the men’s basketball program, he didn’t have to look far.

Andrew Toole was introduced as the eighth head coach in the 40-year Division I history at a press conference at the Charles L. Sewall Center May 11, 2010, and the 2015-16 campaign marks his sixth season as head coach of the Colonials.

Toole signed a two-year contract extension at Robert Morris April 15, 2015, meaning he will lead the Colonials through the 2019-20 campaign. In five seasons under Toole’s tutelage, the Colonials have posted an overall record of 110-68 (.618), including a mark of 65-23 (.739) against Northeast Conference opponents.

Toole guided Robert Morris to an overall record of 20-15 (.571) in 2014-15, including a mark of 12-6 (.667) in the NEC. The Colonials finished in a tie for second place with Bryant in the league standings and as the No. 2 seed claimed the 2015 NEC Tournament title with a 66-63 win at No. 1 seed St. Francis Brooklyn (3/10/15). The win over the Terriers helped RMU secure its league-high eighth NEC Tournament title and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Robert Morris earned its first NCAA Tournament victory since 1983 and second overall in program history by posting an 81-77 victory over North Florida (3/18/15) as part of the 2015 NCAA First Four at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. In 2012-13, RMU claimed its 10th NEC regular-season championship with a ledger of 14-4 - Assistant Coach (2007-08) (.778) in conference action and overall finished 24-11 (.686). Robert Morris earned a spot in the Lafayette College; Easton, Pa. 2013 NIT, advancing to the second round thanks to a landmark 59-57 victory over Kentucky - Assistant Coach (2006-07) (3/19/13) in front of 3,444 fans at the Charles L. RMU earned its second straight NEC regular-season crown in 2013-14 with a record of 14-2 PLAYING EXPERIENCE: (.875) in league play and finished 22-14 (.611) overall. For his efforts, Toole was named the 2014 University of Pennsylvania; Philadelphia, Pa. NEC Jim Phelan Coach of the Year. Led by a career-high 38 points from 2014 NEC Player of the - Guard (2000-03) Year Karvel Anderson (2012-14), the Colonials notched a win in the first round of the NIT for the Elon University; Elon, N.C. second consecutive year with an 89-78 victory at St. John's (3/18/14). In the history of the NIT, a - Guard (1998-2000) Christian Brothers Academy; Lincroft, N.J. No. 8 seed has knocked off a No. 1 seed just four times, with Robert Morris owning two of those vic- Guard (1994-98) tories thanks to their wins over Kentucky and St. John's.

In his first season at the helm in 2010-11, Toole guided RMU to an overall record of 18-14 (.563), including a mark of 12-6 (.667) in the NEC. The Colonials advanced to the championship game of the NEC Tournament, falling three minutes shy of earning their third straight title before falling in overtime at LIU Brooklyn (3/9/11), 85-82.

Prior to joining the Robert Morris staff in 2007, Toole spent the 2006-07 season as an assistant at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. While an assistant with the Leopards, Toole was responsible for helping recruit student-athletes that helped lead Lafayette to the 2010 Patriot League Tournament championship game against Lehigh. Toole was a four-year starter at the Division I level, playing for Elon University (1998-2000) before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania (2000-03). Over his four-year career at Elon and Penn, Toole averaged 12.3 points per contest, finishing with 1,341 points in 109 games.

Toole married the former Brooke Kelly June 3, 2011, and the couple resides in the Pittsburgh, Pa., suburb of Mt. Lebanon with their two sons, Ryan and Colin.

Picking Up Where He Left Off - Senior guard Rodney Pryor, who was tabbed to the 2015 Preseason All-NEC Team, picked up where he left off from last season in RMU’s first three games of the 2015-16 season. Thanks to a team-high 15 points against Bucknell (11/18/15), Pryor enters Sunday’s game having reached double figures in scoring in each of his last 13 games dating back to last season. During that stretch, Pryor is averaging 20.3 points per contest while converting an average of 3.08 three-pointers per game.

Toe The Line - Early on in the 2015-16 season, junior guard Kavon Stewart has done a good job getting to the free-throw line. Through the first three games, Stewart is 14-for-24 (.583) at the stripe and owns an astounding 44.4 percent (24-of-54) of RMU’s attempts as a team at the chalk. Stewart enters Sunday’s game @ Air Force having converted 61.3 percent (147-for-240) of his career attempts at the free-throw line.

Snow Cone - Sophomore forward Andre Frederick registered the first double-figure scoring game of his career in RMU’s home opener against Bucknell (11/18/15) with 10 points, hitting five of his seven shots from the floor. He also added three rebounds and a pair of steals in a career-high 23 minutes. To put that in perspective, Frederick took a total of 19 shots from the field in 12 games against Northeast Conference foes last season and 26 overall on the year. Through the first three games of the year, Frederick is averaging 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, with five of his seven caroms coming on the offensive glass.

Smooth Start - Senior guard Rodney Pryor has taken home team-high honors in scoring in each of RMU’s first three games of the 2015-16 campaign, averaging an even 20.0 points per contest while shooting 45.8 percent (22-for-48) from the field. Pryor is the first member of the Colonials to open the season with a scoring average of at least 20.0 points per contest through three games since former forward A.J. Jackson (2003-08) in 2006-07. During that season, Jackson averaged 25.0 points in helping the Colonials open the year with a 3-0 record.

Comeback Kids - Robert Morris has made a habit of climbing out of double-digit deficits under head coach Andrew Toole, and that bore fruit in RMU’s 2015-16 season opener. The Colonials trailed Penn at halftime, 44-28, and faced a 17-point deficit, 51-34, with 14:56 to play before roaring back to grab a 72-71 lead with under four minutes left. It marks the 21st time under sixth-year head coach Andrew Toole the Colonials have erased a double-digit deficit. On 19 of those occasions Robert Morris has earned a victory.

The Floor General - The 2015-16 campaign marks junior guard Kavon Stewart’s second full season as the starting point guard for Robert Morris. He enters Sunday’s game @ Air Force with 251 career assists in 67 games, an average of 3.75 per contest. Stewart needs 49 dimes to become the 14th player in program history to eclipse 300 career assists and is 134 dimes short of cracking the top 10 in school history in the category. In helping lead RMU to the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament title last year, Stewart ranked second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.84) and fourth in assists per game (4.59). Stewart has also proven to be adept on defense, as he ranked fourth in the NEC last season in steals (1.65 per game) and enters Sunday’s game with 95 career thefts.

Fresh Prince - Freshman guard Matty McConnell, who started in RMU’s 2015-16 season opener @ Penn (11/13/15), became just the seventh true freshman to earn a start in his collegiate debut in the program’s 40-year Division I history. McConnell played 34 minutes against the Quakers, supplying seven points, a team-high five assists and a pair of steals.

McConnell is also the third true freshman to start his first Division I game under sixth-year head coach Andrew Toole, joining Yann Charles (2010) and Elijah Minnie (2014). Also earning starts in their first collegiate games were Forest Grant (1980), Keith Jones (1995), Jeremy Chappell (2005) and Jonathan Clark (2005).

The Chase for 1,000 - Senior guard Rodney Pryor is RMU’s active leading scorer with 606 points as the Colonials open play in the Air Force Classic Sunday against the host Falcons.

Pryor has scored a team-high 60 points in three games, a year after leading the Colonials with 546 points last season, and he is looking to become the second player in the last three years to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau in just two seasons at RMU. Former guard Karvel Anderson scored 1,123 points in 69 career games from 2012 to 2014.

Pryor needs to average 14.1 points over RMU’s final 28 games of the 2015-16 campaign to eclipse 1,000 career points.

The Leader - Robert Morris head coach Andrew Toole picked up career victory No. 100 thanks to a 67-65 win @ St. Francis Brooklyn (1/24/15). In five seasons leading the Colonials, Tooled has posted an overall record of 110-68 (.618), including a mark of 65-23 (.739) against the Northeast Conference. Toole is just the second head coach in program history to eclipse 100 career wins, joining former head coach Jarrett Durham, who posted an overall record of 157-183 (.462) from 1984 to 1996. Toole is also the fastest to 100 career wins in Northeast Conference history, reaching the plateau in 160 contests.

Be Still My Heart - Freshman guard Isaiah Still earned his first collegiate start against Bucknell (11/18/15) in RMU’s home opener and scored a career-high 13 points, converting four of his eight shots from the field, including a 3-for-6 performance from beyond the arc. He also grabbed five rebounds and posted a steal. It marked the second consecutive double-figure scoring outing for Still, who finished with 11 points @ Cincinnati (11/15/15). Still enters RMU’s opening contest of the Air Force Classic Sunday having shot 47.4 percent (9-for-19) from the field in his first three collegiate games, including 41.7 percent (5-for-12) from beyond the arc.

Block Party - Sophomore forward Elijah Minnie set an RMU single-season school record for blocks in his rookie campaign last year by recording 36 rejections, and he continues to protect the rim early in the 2015-16 season. Minnie finished with three blocked shots in RMU’s home opener against Bucknell (11/18/15) and through the first three games of the year has blocked four shots, giving him 40 for his career. Suffice to say, should Minnie stay healthy he has a chance to become to become the program’s all-time leader in rejections. The current leader is former forward Magdi Bilall, who finished with 101 blocks from 1987 to 1992.

Board Games - Part of following the formula in regard to being successful for Robert Morris over the last nine seasons has been the program’s ability to crash the boards.

Since the beginning of 2007-08, Robert Morris owns a record of 129-22 (.854) when the Colonials are even or better in rebounding in a game, including a 124-20 (.861) mark when outrebounding their opponent. In Andrew Toole’s six seasons as head coach, Robert Morris has posted a record of 72-16 (.818) when outrebounding its opponent.

International Waters - RMU has consistently been at the top of the Northeast Conference much of the previous decade in regard to its three-point shooting, and the Colonials will look to continue that in 2015-16. Robert Morris returns its top three-point threat in senior guard Rodney Pryor, who drilled 81 triples last season. In five seasons under head coach Andrew Toole, the Colonials are 33-5 (.868) when draining at least 10 three-pointers in a game.

The Rock - Senior forward Aaron Tate entered his final season of eligibility in 2015-16 with an outside chance of eclipsing 500 career rebounds. Since the beginning of the 2013-14 campaign, Tate has grabbed 311 rebounds, an average of 4.3 per contest.

The active leading rebounder for Robert Morris, Tate would need to average 6.8 rebounds over RMU’s final 28 regular-season games to become the 18th player in school history to grab at least 500 boards.

Southpaw - Voted the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament MVP, there wasn’t a member of the Colonials hotter during the stretch run of the 2014-15 campaign than junior guard Rodney Pryor. Pryor reached double figures in scoring in each of his last 10 games, averaging 20.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists during that span. Pryor shot 52 percent (78-for-150) from the field during that stretch, including 49.2 percent (32-for-65) from deep, and 66.7 percent (16-for-24) at the free-throw line. Robert Morris finished with a record of 19-7 (.731) in 2014-15 when Pryor scored in double figures.

Series Notes - Sunday’s meeting between Robert Morris and Air Force marks the first in the all-time series between the two programs.

- The Falcons are one of five opponents on RMU’s 2015-16 regular season schedule that the Colonials will be facing for the first time in their 40-year Division I history. Included are each of the teams that make up the Air Force Classic (New Mexico State, Tennessee Tech and Mississippi Valley State are the others) and Columbia (Dec. 14).

- Air Force is led by Dave Pilipovich (Thiel ’86), who is in his fourth full season as head coach of the Falcons and his ninth overall at the Academy. He owns an overall record of 47-56 (.456).

- A Western Pennsylvania native, Pilipovich spent four seasons as an assistant coach with Robert Morris under former head coach Jim Boone from 1996 to 2000. During the 1999-2000 campaign, the Colonials advanced to the championship game of the 2000 NEC Tournament, falling to Central Connecticut, 63-46, in Trenton, N.J. Boone was then hired as the head coach at Eastern Michigan, and Pilipovich joined Boone on his staff with the Eagles from 2000 to 2005.

- Pilipovich also spent two years on the staff at the University of Michigan (2005-07) before joining on as an assistant coach at Air Force.

- Air Force finished with an overall record of 18-14 (.563) in 2014-15, including an 8-8 (.500) mark in the Mountain West Conference. The Falcons were picked to finish 10th in the 2015 Mountain West in the preseason media poll.

On The Offensive - Robert Morris opened the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament at the Charles L. Sewall Center with a 91-68 win over No. 7 Wagner (3/4/15) by shooting 53.6 percent (30-for-56) from the field. In five seasons under head coach Andrew Toole, RMU owns a mark of 32-5 (.865) when shooting 50 percent or better from the field, including a mark of 25-1 (.962) against NEC opponents. Broken down against league foes, Robert Morris is 22-1 in the regular season and 3-0 in the NEC Tournament when converting at least half of its shots. Against non-conference opponents under Toole, RMU is 7-4 (.636) when turning the trick.

Defense Wins Championships - At the heart of the resurgence of the Robert Morris basketball program since 2007-08 is defense. Thanks to a 66-63 win @ No. 1 St. Francis Brooklyn (3/10/15) in the 2015 NEC Tournament championship game, RMU improved to 138-29 (.826) over the last eight seasons when holding their opponent to under 70 points. In five years under the direction of Andrew Toole, the Colonials own a mark of 85-21 (.802) when turning the trick. Overall in the last eight years, RMU has held its opponent to under 70 points 59.2 percent (167-of-282) of the time.

Put Me In, Coach - The 2015-16 Robert Morris roster features just three upperclassmen, which includes seniors Rodney Pryor and Aaron Tate and junior Kavon Stewart. Combined, the Colonials entered the 20115-16 season with 224 combined games of experience.

Compare that to the beginning of last season, when RMU owned a total of 355 games of experience entering the 2014-15 campaign. Pryor, Tate and Stewart will provide a large bulk of the leadership for the Colonials in 2015-16, and the trio will do that best by playing. Pryor is RMU’s active leader in both consecutive games played (38) and consecutive starts (30). Tate and Stewart have appeared in 36 and 27 consecutive games, respectively, with Stewart having started 22 straight games dating to last year.

Protect This House - Thanks to a 66-53 victory over Bryant in the semifinals of the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament, Robert Morris concluded the 2014-15 season with a record of 10-6 (.625) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. It marked the 10th consecutive year that the Colonials have posted at least 10 wins at home. Since 2005-06, RMU has posted a record of 116-33 (.773) at the Sewall Center. In six seasons at “The Chuck” under head coach Andrew Toole, Robert Morris has compiled a record of 57-18 (.760).

Robert Morris is playing its 31st season at the Sewall Center in 2015-16, and overall the Colonials own a record of 269-135 (.666) in the building.

Free Is For Me - Robert Morris was able to seal its first victory in the NCAA Tournament since 1983 in an 81-77 over North Florida (3/18/15) by converting at the free-throw line. The Colonials converted 21 of their 33 attempts (63.6 percent) at the charity stripe against the Ospreys, including 17-for-26 (65.4 percent) in the second half. RMU finished 4-1 (.800) in 2014-15 when visiting the chalk at least 30 times in a game and in six seasons under head coach Andrew Toole has posted a record of 19-4 (.826) when turning the trick.

In The Clutch - You certainly could say that Robert Morris has a flair for the dramatic. In a 53-52 victory over Central Connecticut (2/14/15) at the Charles L. Call To The Hall Vaughn Luton (1986-89) and Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) are part of a six-person class that makes up the 25th annual class of inductees into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame. The pair will be inducted at the third annual RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner, which takes place Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport. A closer look at Luton and Chappell ...

Vaughn Luton (1986-89) The class of 2015 veteran's choice to be inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame, Luton scored 1,134 points and grabbed 517 rebounds in three seasons with the Colonials after transferring from Youngstown State. He was named the 1989 Northeast Conference Player of the Year after averaging 17.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting 55.7 percent from the field. Luton, a native of Coraopolis, Pa., scored 25 points in the 1989 NEC Tournament championship game, a 67-66 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson at the Charles L. Sewall Center, to help Robert Morris clinch its third NEC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament bid. For those efforts was named the 1989 NEC Tournament MVP. Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) Chappell scored 1,875 points and grabbed 681 rebounds, totals that rank third and sixth, respectively, all-time in program history.

Named the 2006 Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, Chappell helped guide RMU to NEC regular-season crowns in both 2008 and 2009. In his senior season in 2008-09, Chappell averaged 16.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest and was named the 2009 NEC Player of the Year. Chappell helped guide Robert Morris to its first NEC Tournament championship and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament in 17 years in 2009 by averaging 19.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in three games of the tourney to garner MVP accolades. He is the program's all-time leader for three-pointers (243) and double-figure scoring games (100). Chappell is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Charles L. Sewall Center aka “The Chuck” Robert Morris celebrated its 30th season of playing its home games at the Charles L. Sewall Center in 2014-15. The facility was dedicated in 1985 and named for the man who served Robert Morris as president from 1967 until 1989. The Sewall Center has been the site where the Northeast Conference Tournament champion has been crowned in men’s basketball a total of six times in the last 30 years, with the Colonials winning four of those titles. RMU won the NEC Tournament on its home court in 1989, 1990, 1992 and 2009. The 2009 NEC Tournament men’s basketball championship game held at the Sewall Center featured the first sell-out crowd in school history, with 3,227 fans packed into the arena to watch Robert Morris post a 48-46 win over Mount St. Mary’s that was televised nationally on ESPN2. Former forward Dallas Green (2006-10) hit the game-winning shot with 2.2 seconds to play to help lift the Colonials to their sixth NEC Tournament title.

Robert Morris Historical Tidbits In The Beginning - Robert Morris was the first institution to jump directly from the junior college ranks to NCAA Division I. RMU played basketball at the junior college level for 13 seasons from 1963 to 1976, posting a record of 287-58 (.832) under head coach Gus Krop. Krop led the Colonials to a record of 30-1 (.968) in 1968-69 in its sixth season as a junior college program, with its only loss a 79-76 setback to Paducah (Ky.) in the national title game.

In his time leading Robert Morris, Krop coached nine All-Americans and also recruited Earl Cureton, a native of Detroit, Mich., who played one season with the Colonials when it was a junior college program (1975-76) as well as the first season of Division I basketball in 1976-77.

Half A Century - The 2015-16 campaign marks the 53rd season of intercollegiate basketball at Robert Morris. The Colonials compiled an overall record of 287-58 (.832) in 13 years as a junior college program from 1963 to 1976 and since moving to Division I with the 1976-77 campaign have posted an overall record of 571-583 (.495). Combined, Robert Morris posted a record of 816-610 (.572) over its first 50 years as an intercollegiate program from 1963 to 2013. In honor of 50 years of intercollegiate basketball, Robert Morris enshrined the 1981-82 Colonials, the first squad to qualify for the NCAA Tournament, into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Feb. 15, 2014.

The First Superstar - Don Mackey (1963-65) was the only player in junior college history to score over 1,000 points in his two seasons with the program.

A native of Homestead, Pa., Mackey finished his two years with the Colonials by scoring 1,034 points, and his 43 points in a 125-111 win over Walsh Jan. 30, 1965, still stands as the most points scored in a game by a player in a Robert Morris uniform. He went on to finish his collegiate career at Gannon University and was inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Oct. 9, 2010. Mackey is one of nine members of the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame from the junior college ranks, which also includes former All-Americans Perry Johnson (1969), Cleveland Edwards (1969) and Ron Hightower (1971 and 1972).

The Twirl - Arguably the best basketball player in school history, in his one season at the Division I level in a Robert Morris uniform Earl “The Twirl” Cureton (1975-77) averaged 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in 1976-77. Cureton still owns Robert Morris single-season records for rebounds (274) and rebounding average and is the only player in the program’s Division I history to average a double-double. He transferred to the University of Detroit to continue his Division I career and was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the third round of the 1979 NBA Draft. He went on to play 12 seasons in the NBA, earning a pair of championship rings, one with the 76ers in 1983 and the other with the Houston Rockets in 1994.

Charter Member - Robert Morris played independently as a Division I program for five seasons before becoming a charter member of the ECAC Metro Conference in 1981, which changed its name to the Northeast Conference in 1988. The Colonials have won eight NEC Tournament titles, the most in league history, and have also appeared in the NCAA Tournament eight times. Robert Morris has won back-to-back NEC Tournament titles on three occasions, including the first two championships in 1981 and 1982.

RMU also claimed back-to-back NEC Tournament titles in 1989 and 1990 and again in 2009 and 2010.

Dynamic Duo - Led by guards Chipper Harris (1980-84) and Forest “Bay” Grant (1980-84), Robert Morris claimed the first two ECAC Metro Conference Tournament championships in 1981 and 1982. In four seasons, Harris and Grant combined for career totals of 3,434 points, 869 rebounds, 991 assists and 782 steals. Harris served as RMU’s all-time leading scorer with 1,940 points from the conclusion of his career until 1994 and still owns the Robert Morris career record for steals (450), while Grant is the program’s all-time leader in assists (555). The pair helped the ECAC Metro Conference garner its first victory in the NCAA Tournament, as the Colonials upended Georgia Southern, 64-54, in a play-in game at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, in the 1983 NCAA Tournament. Harris was enshrined in the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995, followed by Grant in 1996.

Walk On The Ocean - Former guard Myron Walker (1990-94) continued RMU’s lineage of stellar guards when he arrived on the scene in the fall of 1990 and was a key part of a 1991-92 squad that claimed the program’s fifth NEC Tournament championship and berth in the NCAA Tournament. In his second year with the program, Walker scored at the time an RMU singleseason school record 614 points en route to being named the 1992 NEC Player of the Year, the only sophomore in league history to earn the honor.

Walker, a native of Aliquippa, Pa., went on to become the program’s alltime leading scorer with 1,965 points and also owns the single-season record for scoring average (20.1 ppg as a senior in 1993-94) and career marks for 20-point scoring games (47) and scoring average (18.7 ppg).

Keep On Rockin ... As part of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, Robert Morris traveled to Charlotte, N.C., and dropped an 85-56 decision to Duke. The NBA home of the Charlotte Hornets became the ninth arena that the Colonials have played in that has also featured a concert by Pearl Jam since the band’s formation in 1990. Palumbo Center (Pittsburgh, Pa.).

Who Was Robert Morris?

Robert Morris, Jr. (January 20, 1734 – May 8, 1806) was a Liverpool-born American merchant and signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution. He was elected to the Pennsylvania Assembly, became the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Committee of Safety and was chosen as a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, where he served as chairman of the “Secret Committee of Trade” and as a member of the Committee of Correspondence. From 1781 to 1784, he served as the powerful Superintendent of Finance, managing the economy of the fledgling United States. As the central civilian in the government, Morris was, next to General George Washington, “the most powerful man in America.” His successful administration led to the sobriquet, “Financier of the Revolution.” He was one of Pennsylvania’s original pair of U.S. senators, serving from 1789 to 1795. A look at his legacy: - A portrait of Morris appeared on U.S. $1000 notes from 1862 to 1863 - Morris and Roger Sherman were the only two people to sign all three significant founding documents of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the U.S. Constitution.

- The dollar sign ("$") was in common use among private merchants during the middle of the 18th century. It referred to the two columns draped with scrolls on the Spanish milled dollar, which predated the U.S. Dollar. Morris was the first to use that symbol in official documents.
