THE GAME The Robert Morris University (15-11, 9-6 NEC) women’s basketball team has won three consecutive games in convincing fashion to clinch a Northeast Conference playoff berth for the eighth straight season. The Colonials look to stretch the win streak to four and keep their hopes of a home playoff contest alive when the Bryant Bulldogs (13-13, 6-9 NEC) visit the Charles L. Sewall Center for a 7:00 p.m game Monday, Feb. 20. RMU has buried teams in the second half and at the charity stripe during the three-game win streak. They are shooting 87.3 percent (62-71) from the free throw line and outscoring teams, 45.3 to 29.3, in the second half of the last three games. The Bulldogs are trying to get back on track after dropping their last four games. MUSKET SHOTS u Sophomore F Artemis Spanou scored a career-high 32 points in the team’s come-from-behind victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) on Feb. 11 and is the Choice Hotels NEC Co-Player of the Week. u Spanou leads the league with 16 double-doubles u She is one of only 19 players in NCAA Division I averaging a double-double (16.2 ppg, 10.6 rpg) u Junior G Briannica Tye moved up to sixth on the team’s single-season assists list with 134 this season. u Junior F Anna Gailite is third all-time at RMU with 102 blocks. She has 11 in the last three games u RMU has won three games this season when trailing at halftime. u The Colonials are outscoring their last three opponents by an average of 42.3-29.3 in the second half u RMU is shooting 87.3 percent (62-71) on free throws the last three games u RMU is 86-23 (.789) at the Sewall Center since 2004-05, including 56-12 (.824) in NEC games THE SERIES VS. BRYANT Robert Morris is 3-1 in a series that dates back only to 2009. The Colonials took the first three games - two decided by nine or less points - before dropping a four-point decision in Smithfield, R.I., earlier this season. All but one of the games has been decided by nine points or less. Two games have been as close as four points.

COLONIALS PROMISED A PLAYOFF SPOT With Saturday’s victory, the Coloinals clinched a spot in the Northeast Conference Tournament for the eighth consecutive season. RMU has been a playoff participant every season since 2004-05, the second under the tutelage of head coach Sal Buscaglia.
