THE GAME Coming off a sweep of Saint Francis (Pa.) during NEC Rivalry Week, the Robert Morris University Colonials (14-11, 8-6 NEC) look to build on that momentum when Central Connecticut State (11-14, 5-9 NEC) visits the Sewall Center Sat., Feb. 18 for a 4:00 p.m. game. Artemis Spanou averaged 25.5 points and 12.0 rebounds against the Red Flash while leading RMU to a pair of 12-point wins. The Blue Devils — featuring three athletes from Mt. Lebanon High School — have lost their last two and four of their last five. MUSKET SHOTS u Sophomore F Artemis Spanou scored a career-high 32 points in the team’s come-from-behind victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) on Feb. 11 and is the Choice Hotels NEC Co-Player of the Week. u Spanou collected two more double-doubles last week and now leads the league with 15 this season. u She is one of only 19 players in NCAA Division I averaging a double-double (16.2 ppg, 10.6 rpg) u Junior G Briannica Tye moved up to sixth on the team’s single-season assists list with 130 this season. u Junior F Anna Gailite collected six blocks this weekend - five Saturday - to move into fourth at RMU with 97 career blocks. u RMU has won three games this season when trailing at halftime. u The Colonials outscored the Red Flash by a total of 94-68 in the second half of their two games. u RMU shot at least 65 percent in the second half of both contests this weekend. u Robert Morris has swept two of the three Rivalry Week series against Saint Francis. u RMU is 85-23 (.787) at the Sewall Center since 2004-05, including 55-12 CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE (.821) in NEC games All-Time Series 14-11 THE SERIES VS. PLAY ON PLAYER OF THE WEEK Sophomore Artemis Spanou was named the Choice Hotels NEC Co-Player of the Week. She averaged 25.5 points and pulled down 12.0 rebounds as the Colonials swept a twogame series against the Red Flash with a pair of 12-point victories.
