THE GAME The Robert Morris University Colonials (7-1, 2-0 Northeast Conference) return to non-conference play this weekend when they travel Bethlehem, Pa., for a 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (5-6). The Colonials climbed to #24 in the collegeinsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 following NEC victories against Monmouth and Fairleigh Dickinson last weekend. They are off to the best start in team history sitting at 7-1 through eight games. MUSKET SHOTS u Robert Morris is 24th in hte latest Collegeinsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25. u The Colonials are off to the best start in team history recording seven wins in their first eight games u Artemis Spanou and Mary Durojaye each have three double-doubles this season. u Briannica Tye is 19th nationally in steals (3.7) and 30th in assists (5.4) u The Colonials are 83-19 (.814) at home since the 2004-05 season u Five players - Durojaye, Spanou, Tye, April Williams and Josette Campbell - are averaging doubledigits in scoring u Robert Morris has been averaging just over 23 points a game off of opponent turnovers u The Colonials are 10th nationally in three-point defense holding opponents to 21.1 percent u Robert Morris is 26th in the nation in rebound margin at + 8.3 u RMU boasts players from six different countries and seven players from outside the U.S. GLASS-TASTIC The Colonials have not been outrebounded this season, grabbing an average of 8.3 more rebounds per game than their opposition.In the last national statistics report, RMU was 26th nationally in rebounding margin. Robert Morris and Elon both finished the game with 41 rebounds in their Nov. 26 clash at the ECU Thanksgiving Classic. THE SERIES VS. LEHIGH The Colonials and Mountain Hawks have met just three times in a series that dates back to 1985. RMU lost that inaugural meeting and the two games since, trailing in the series, 3-0. Robert Morris lost the last contest between these squads in 2010, 72-64.
