THE CAPSULE The Robert Morris University women’s basketball team returns to the Charles L. Sewall Center for the first time since Nov. 9 when they host the Stony Brook Seawolves in a 7:00 p.m. contest Wednesday, November 28. RMU recently finished a four-game road trip that with games at Big 10 opponents Iowa and Michigan State. THE SERIES Robert Morris and Stony Brook will be meeting for the third time in four seasons with each team garnering a victory in the first two games. The Colonials upended the Seawolves, 61-43, in the inaugural meeting in 2009-10. A late three-pointer gave SBU the win last year.

MUSKET SHOTS • Junior forward Artemis Spanou was named to the All-NEC Preseason team • Spanou joined the 1,000-point club with nine points at Iowa Tuesday. She now has 1,015 points. • Spanou also tied her career-high with 16 rebounds against the Hawkeyes • Four players have led the team in scoring over the first five games • Senior forward Anna Gailite is tied for second all-time at RMU with 116 career blocks • Freshman Lou Mataly had a season-high 13 points to lead the team at Iowa • Robert Morris has made it to the NEC Tournament semifinals in seven of the last eight seasons • RMU is 92-23 (.800) at the Sewall Center since 2004-05, including 61-12 (.836) in NEC games
SPANOU, GAILITE LEAVING THEIR MARKS IN RECORD BOOK Junior forward Artemis Spanou and senior Anna Gailite have left their marks on the RMU career record lits. Spanou is the 11th player in team history to reach both 1,000 career points and collect 500 career rebounds. Gailite is now second all-time at Robert Morris with 119 career blocks. Gailite is averaging 2.0 blocks this season while Spanou is dropping 16.4 points and grabbing 12.0 rebounds per contest.
