Two weeks ago, Robert Morris competed in a two game series against the Rensselaer Engineers in Troy, N.Y. In game one of the series the Colonials topped the Engineers, 3-2. On Saturday, the teams skated to a 1-1 overtime draw. The victory and the tie allows Robert Morris to stretch its unbeaten W, 6-2 streak to six consecutive contests. Senior forward Kelsey Thomas led the RMU scoring effort with W, 3-2 (OT) three points, one goal and two assists. Junior assistant captain Thea Imbrogno finished the series W, 7-1 with one goal and one assist. Senior netminder Kristen DiCiocco started in both contests for RMU. W, 4-1 DiCiocco combined for 44 saves in both contests to register a .936 save percentage with a 1.44 goals W, 3-2 T, 1-1 (OT) against average.

Series vs. Syracuse
Last season against the Orange, the Colonials owned a record of 3-0-1. In the teams first series in Pittsburgh, RMU won the first game 2-1 before tying the second game 1-1. In the series, current Colonials Kelsey Thomas, Thea Imbrogno and Rebecca Vint each scored goals while Kylie St. Louis, Cobina Delaney, Katie Fergus and Imbrogno all passed out assists. In the second series of the season, RMU swept the Orange at Syracuse by scores of 4-3 and 5-2. In the two games, 17 RMU skaters registered points. Vint lead the scoring effort with three points in the series.
Scouting Syracuse
Sryacuse is coming off a sweep of RMU’s last opponent Rensselaer. The Orange own a 3-0-1 College Hockey America record. Senior forward Holly Carrie-Mattimoe leads Syracuse with 12 points, six goals and six assists. The senior has registered two power play goals and one shorthanded goals thus far this season. Sophomore forward Nicole Ferrara ranks second in points for the Orange with 11. Ferrara has scored three goals and passed out eight assists. Fellow sophomore Shiann Darkangelo ties Carrie-Mattimoe for the team lead in goals with six. The forward has tallied 10 points this year along with junior forward Margot Scharfe. Junior goaltender Kallie Billadeau has seen the most action in net for Syracuse playing 470 minutes in eight games. Billadeau owns a 1.15 goals against average and a .946 save percentange.
