A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT Welcome to Robert Morris University. We’re making history, and we want you to help us write the next chapter. Recently we joined the likes of Carnegie Mellon, Penn State, Stanford, and the Ivy League on the U.S. News & World Report rankings of Best National Universities. Over the past several years we’ve opened new academic buildings, new residence halls, and this fall, a new Student Recreation and Fitness Center. In 2019 we’ll open the UPMC Events Center, the new home for our NCAA Division I basketball and volleyball teams. Last year our women’s ice hockey and basketball teams each earned bids to the NCAA tournament. Yes, we have a great story to tell, as you’ll soon learn. But our story is our students’ story, and what we help them become. It’s the story of the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. It’s the story of the general manager of a Super Bowl-winning NFL franchise. It’s the story of a financial planner named to the Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors list. And it’s the story of a University Honors student who earned a full-tuition scholarship to one of the nation’s most prestigious law schools. It can be your story, and we can help you write it.
Christopher Howard, D. Phil.
BIG ENOUGH TO MATTER SMALL ENOUGH
TO CARE
BIG ENOUGH TO MATTER Robert Morris University is a nationally ranked doctoral research university, in the same group as schools like Penn State, Duke, and Harvard in annual college rankings. More than 5,000 students attend RMU from nearly every U.S. state and 39 countries, taught by professors who are experts in their fields with impressive academic and career credentials.
SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE With a 15:1 student-faculty ratio, classes are small and professors quickly get to know students by name. Research shows that taking classes with a professor who personally makes you excited about learning has a long-lasting impact on your future career, and Gallup surveys show that most RMU graduates have that experience.
