Leo Kim Position Marketing Department

rowing up, Leo never imagined he would be working alongside his parents Jeanna and Calvin Kim. He knew he wanted to go into business and has always had an interest in psychology. Therefore, he decided to pursue a career in marketing to satisfy both goals. “Marketing is fascinating to me. I was always curious why some people respond more positively to advertising while others do not. Understanding why people think and act the way they do is important for any business,” said Leo. When he joined the company in early 2018, he was excited to apply what he learned in school. “In college, we had marketing exercises in which we were forced to make tough decisions in high pressure simulations. We had to compete against other groups. I learned a lot from this and want to apply this to Richway. There is a tremendous amount of research that goes into a single marketing decision. Since I started, I have steadily increased our promotions. Now, we have one almost every month,” said Leo. Leo explains, marketing is

finding out a customer’s wants and needs and guiding them to our products. Without marketing, our products and services exist in a vacuum. He believes every company should do more to ensure success, so everyone should be excited to see what else he has planned. Besides marketing projects, Leo can be found assisting Jeanna. “When I’m not running reports and compiling data, I like to help Jeanna assist customers. I’ve always looked up to my parents. To me, they are superheroes. I enjoy watching my mom in action and to see how passionate she is. It is nice to get a peek behind the scenes and see them at work,” said Leo. Following in her footsteps, he teaches customers and Independent Sales Associates (ISA) about the products. “Working directly with customers and ISAs forces me out of my comfort zone. I do not consider myself a shy guy but speaking to people still makes me nervous. It has taught me the importance of forming relationships with people. the hands of more people. We have unique products that have been helping people for over 20 years. I know firsthand how important the Biomat® is, since I practically grew up on one,” he said.

Now he is focusing on the company’s future. He believes, entry level items are important as well as products that can work with the Biomat®. Late last year, Leo helped launch the BioAcoustic Mat™, the new vibroacoustic mat designed to work with the Biomat®.
