Apart from being functional the Mill, Oak Piece, Hurricane Tealight and Flower Vase are aesthetic and sculptural and fill the canteen with homely atmosphere. We thank Louis Poulsen for great pictures and look forward to our next cooperation.

ro as tv star

After spending a lot of time on setting up our business we have now had time for starting up different initiatives to increase our brand awareness. We have started up a cooperation with a new PR bureau and this is now paying of in different ways among other we have been selected to create a cosy atmosphere in the studios of both Go’ morgen Danmark and Aftenshowet. So keep an eye on the Danish TV shows and see if you can spot our products.

ro in politiken Cups & Plates have also found their way into the Danish media. The Danish newspaper Politiken wrote an article about our new Dinnerware developed in cooperation with our close neighbour Restaurant 56grader. The headline reads: They reinvent the plate together! How do you design a plate, so it is both aesthetically beautiful, a pleasure to eat from and live up to the requirements that are in a modern kitchen? And at the same time how is the plate telling a relevant story? Those were the questions Rebecca was faced with when she wanted to develop her first series of Cups & Plates and it was obvious for Rebecca to ask kitchen chef Kenneth Ellegaard for advice. According to Kenneth the dinnerware must fit into the atmosphere and the history they create in the restaurant but the plates should also work in the kitchen. The plates must be stackable, ovenproof and fit the dishwasher. Rebecca succeeded in creating a plate that meets the demands from both a ceramic designer and a kitchen chef. The result is a slate grey plate in stoneware, not quite round, but with a rounded triangular shape, and a rough texture under the smooth surface.

ro at formland & northmodern Summer holiday is over and Ro is in the final process of preparations for the autumn fairs. Ro presents a “nature morte created by Rebecca Uth. The scene is set in a context of crafts, nature and corrosion among art objects and design. We are pleased to invite you to a poetic and dramatic stand, where beauty and time merge.

1 year anniversary This month we celebrate 1-year anniversary in the “new Ro. The year has passed quickly and we have achieved many good things. Some challenges have been greater than we expected, especially in relation to manufacturing. We have spent an enormous amount of resources finding manufacturers who can meet our high standards for quality, materials and craftsmanship.

We are now finally in place with a strong team of partners, which typically are smaller factories and workshops, who are really practicing their craft and make a virtue of providing the very best within their profession.

2 new colours

Oxblood red and Ash grey are the two new spectacular colours in Ro’s Bowl series. Rebecca Uth has long been working to achieve new glazes for her handcasted stoneware bowls. Now she has finally succeeded in getting the perfect Oxblood red glaze, and we are really proud to present it at the fairs. The dark red glaze follows the trail back to oxblood glaze from Ming Dynasty in China. Also the bright ash grey glaze has roots in Asia.

press event

In November, we held our first press event in Ro where we launched our new dinnerware. It was a warm and pleasant afternoon at the gourmet restaurant 56 degrees, who has helped us develop our new dinnerware. Invited journalists and bloggers showed up, and there was a great attention and interest from everyone. Look forward to seeing and reading interesting articles about this in Politiken, Berlingske boligen with more.

new aesthetic & functional dinnerware Plates in three sizes, a cup and a mug make up a new dinnerware collection from Ro. It is a line created by Japanese aesthetics and Danish functionality. The dinnerware comes in the colour matte grey in the organic and triangular shape that is very characteristic for Ro’s ceramics. The shape and colour allows you to create several compositions on the table. The dinnerware can be used for both everyday life and for festive occasions. The dinnerware is made of high-fired stoneware, which makes it very strong and it can go in both the oven and the dishwasher.
