Classic Full Day Kids in Camp

NEW location at Bonsack Elementary!! Join our energetic and experienced staff for a summer filled with FUN activities including crafts, games, swimming, cooking, field trips and much more every week. Camp tuition includes two field trips a week, activities and two daily snacks. Campers must bring a bag lunch (no glass containers, please). A $25 deposit per child per week is due at registration; balance is due one week prior to the starting date of each camp week. All fees are nonrefundable. Green Ridge Add-On Program

Get all the FUN of a half-day themed camp with the CONVENIENCE of a full-day enrichment camp! The Green Ridge Add-On Program allows your child to participate in Green Ridge Summer Day Camp in the morning and afternoon, but still attend the Themed Camp of their choice from 1pm to 4pm. This gives working parents the perfect option to add variety to your child’s summer plans. You must register for BOTH the themed camp and the add-on listed below. Please note that children must have completed a year of Kindergarten in order to take part in this experience. This add-on is not eligible for any extra discounts like early bird or members and is only available for theme camps located at Green Ridge. Green Ridge Full Day Summer Camp

There’s no way your kids will be bored this summer when they sign up for full day camp at Green Ridge! This program combines the “healthy fun” of Green Ridge Recreation Center and Splash Valley Water Park with the excitement of organized activities from our experienced staff. Your camper’s week will be filled with arts, crafts, sports, games, swimming at Splash Valley and the indoor pool, field trips and more. All activities and two daily snacks are included in the weekly fee. Campers must pack a daily lunch, swimsuit, towel and athletic shoes. A $25 per week deposit is due at time of registration and the remaining balance will be scheduled through automatic draft of your bank card. Green Ridge members receive an additional discount per week. Participants must be rising 1st graders and have completed a year of Kindergarten. Sign up for all 10 full weeks of enrichment, or simply select the weeks you prefer. Dates

Overnight Camps Camp Roanoke: Explorer

Want to create the memories of a lifetime while enjoying a pristine outdoor environment? The Explorer program provides a safe and fun co-ed, residential experience for campers entering 3rd and 4th grades. Your days will be spent canoeing, hiking, climbing our rock wall, playing field games, making arts & crafts, learning about the environment, practicing archery, and many more! Camp Roanoke: Adventure

Take your summer excitement to the next level with this program designed for new and veteran campers alike. Throughout the week campers will experience activities such as high and low ropes course, zip line, kayaking, environmental education, rock climbing, hiking and more. The session will begin at Camp Roanoke and then travel to West Virginia for a three day, two night camping trip. Registration is limited to 12 campers per week.

Camp Roanoke: Pioneer

Designed for kids with a passion for the natural world, this program takes a hands-on approach to learning and fun! Experience what it is like to venture through the woods, enjoying all that nature has to offer. Learn how people interact with the environment, focusing on sustainability. Your days will also be filled with exciting camp activities like canoeing, orienteering, archery, field games, campfires, climbing tower, arts and crafts and much more. Whether you’re a budding scientist or just want to have fun with new friends, this program is for you! Spaces are limited to just 12 campers per week, so register early! Grades

Camp Roanoke: Voyager

Looking for real summer adventure? The Voyager program is an exhilarating co-ed residential experience that engages youth, entering grades 6 and 7, in activities ranging from canoeing to rock climbing. The campers will also participate in arts and crafts, environmental education, high ropes course and zip line, mountain boarding, creeking, hiking, horseback riding (optional for an additional fee), the climbing tower and more! Registration is limited to 14 campers per week.

Camp Roanoke: Outpost

Geared toward campers looking for a back country wilderness experience, Outpost is guaranteed to be rewarding and fun! Campers will start the week at Camp Roanoke, participating on the high and low ropes courses, and then travel off-site to experience three nights of tent camping, a day on the river, overnight backpacking, rock climbing, and outdoor living skills. Leave No Trace principles and environmental awareness are incorporated into all aspects of this program. Registration is limited to 10 campers. Grades

Camp Roanoke: New River Gorge Trek

Join us on our trip to wild and wonderful West Virginia! This Trek is an extreme experience not to be missed. Campers will begin their trip at Camp Roanoke going through the ropes course as well as climbing on our rock wall. They will then journey to West Virginia and experience tent style living, white water rafting, rock climbing, hiking and environmental education in the beautiful and historic New River Gorge. This camp is too awesome to miss! Registration is limited to only 10 campers.

Horseback Riding Camp

All tuitions include food, lodging, activities, equipment, and transportation. Camp Roanoke is accredited by the American Camp Association for quality assurance.

Saddle up and get ready for a full week of fun on horseback! We’ve partnered with Reba Farm in Bedford County to offer a hands-on, 6-night experience including lodging, meals, snacks and beverages. Learn to ride without any previous experience. Plus, get the horsemanship skills on the ground you need; including grooming, horse tack, nutrition, first aid, reining and more! Camp will end with a show on Saturday at Noon which family and friends are invited to attend. The course is limited to 10 participants. Children and adults are both welcome to enroll. Ages

Camp Roanoke: Discovery

Looking for a day camp experience focused on outdoor adventure and fun? The Discovery program introduces campers to a wide range of activities that include archery (ages 7+), arts and crafts, field games, social development, climbing tower, hiking, creeking, special events, a trip to Splash Valley Water Park and much more! A hot lunch and snacks are provided daily. Free satellite transportation is available from Tanglewood Mall with camper drop-off from 8AM-8:20AM and pick-up from 4:40PM-4:50PM. Explore Park: Mountain Quest

Get ahead of the game with this week long day camp dedicated to the world of outdoor sports. Learn skills of the trade from experienced staff with an emphasis on education, ethics, and fun! Nail bull’s-eyes at the archery range, practice wilderness survival, hook a trout from the Roanoke River, practice compass navigation across the diverse terrain, and gain experience in hunter education, wildlife conservation, leave no trace, and animal track identification. Softball Camp

Our youth softball camps are designed to teach fundamental softball skills in a fun and exciting environment. Campers will be instructed on the basics of hitting, infieliding, and base running with special attention paid to proper fundaments. Each camp is lead by the Virginia Extreme Force travel softball coaches with numerous players from local middle and high schools acting as counselors for the week. The registration fee includes a tee shirt, drinks, snacks and prizes throughout the week. Registration is limited to allow for a camper to staff ratio of 7:1. Each participant is required to come prepared for play which includes active wear, a helmet and glove. Campers may bring their own bat if desired.

Cheer Camp

Let your daughter have a blast discovering what cheerleading is really all about.
