DEUS® Tactical Response Kit DEUS® Kits
The DEUS TX32 Tactical Response Kit revolutionizes tactical rappelling. It includes an innovative controlled descent device that operates hands-free “stop” or “go,” and an adjustable-length anchor that sets with one hand and no knots. Ropes offer tactical officers special capabilities, but also create risk. The problem with conventional rappelling equipment is that it does not operate hands-free so an officer’s hands can either be used to operate rappelling equipment or weapons, but not both simultaneously. The DEUS TX32 Tactical Response Kit opens new possibilities, providing the ultimate in reliable, simple and hands-free controlled tactical descent. Built around the innovative DEUS 3200, the kit includes the equipment you need for a variety of unique maneuvers, including inverted descent and descent with weapons. It’s the perfect partner for law enforcement and military tactical ropes teams.
The Trouble with Tactical Rappels In high-stress situations, rappelling is extraordinarily dangerous. And, too many troops are either injured or come too close to being injured during training. 1.
Rappelling takes too many hands to be an effective technique.
2.
Reliable anchors for tactical rappels take too long to set.
The DEUS Tactical Response Kit solves all these problems: 1.
Rappelling with the DEUS 3200 is speed limited so free-fall is not an option.
2. Rappelling is hands-free “stop” or “go” with the DEUS 3200. Just turn the control knob to set speed or stop. Once speed is set, let go. Hands-free means weapons can be used during descent for self-defense, and maintaining position is hands-free. 3. The DEUS Quik-Set Dual Anchor Kit provides two engineered anchors. Each sets and adjusts with one hand, no knots and no edge-protection. Tactical rescue can be just as challenging, and the DEUS Tactical Kit solves those problems just as elegantly.

DEUS 3200 Controlled Descent Device The DEUS 3200 controlled descent device enables descent at controlled speed, eliminates worry about free-fall, and operates hands-free “stop” or “go” with redundant brakes. It works with DEUS 7.5 mm escape & rescue rope and connectors, all included in the kit. Together, you get a higher level of safety, control and flexibility during tactical, evacuation and rescue situations. The combination of the DEUS 3200, rope and connectors weighs 6.5 lbs and clips to a belt or harness for instant use. Because the DEUS 3200 operates hands-free “stop,” “go” or at any speed between, troops can descend and use weapons at the same time, stop and use both hands for weapons, and perform maneuvers not possible with ordinary gear.
•
The DEUS 3200 operates hands-free. Just turn the control knob to set descent speed. To stop descent, turn the control knob all the way to the right. To descend at maximum speed, turn the control knob all the way to the left. Or, set the control knob at any speed between stop and go. Once set, the DEUS 3200 operates hands-free at that speed.
•
The DEUS 3200 is speed-limited to guard against free-fall. Even at maximum speed, the DEUS 3200 controls descent to a maximum of 3 meters per second. 3 meters per second impact velocity is the same as jumping from the seat of a chair.
•
The DEUS 3200 has four redundant brakes for extra safety, versatility and control. An automatic figure-8, a centrifugal brake to limit maximum speed, a disk-actuated drum brake set with the control knob to give precise operator control, and a manual rope-tailing brake.
•
The DEUS 3200 controlled descent device works with 150 ft of DEUS 7.5 mm Escape & Rescue Rope. Super strong 3,709 lbf MBS, easy to use, NFPA-certified, lightweight, and fire-, cut-, abrasion-, chemical- and UV-resistant, this technical kernmantle rope has a tough polyester sheath and a Technora core. (Technora is a variant of Kevlar designed specifically for rope.) Available in black, yellow or white, DEUS Escape & Rescue Rope makes it easy to differentiate work ropes from training ropes.
•
The DEUS 3200 works in tactical or rescue mode. Connect the 3200 to your harness in tactical mode and you are in complete control of your own descent. Connect it to an anchor and an operator can use it to evacuate or rescue others. Either way, the device operates the same way, and rope rigging through the device is the same.
•
The DEUS 3200 is reversible without re-rigging. When rigged for rescue, three to four people can get to ground sequentially on a single rope from a 4th floor window in less than one minute — all hands-free.
The DEUS Tactical Response Kit includes a DEUS Lanyard and DEUS-approved carabiners to use with the DEUS 3200. The DEUS Lanyard extends the DEUS 3200 controlled descent device away from the body so it can be accessed easily while wearing body armor. The 12-inch long Lanyard is constructed of 5,000 lb Technora webbing in two layers, then covered in a black Nomex sheath. Carabiners, your choice of aluminum or steel, are NFPA-certified.
DEUS Quik-Set Dual Anchor Kit Rigging a conventional anchor requires time, fussing, knots and compromise. The DEUS Quik-Set Dual Anchor Kit includes two pre-rigged engineered anchors that are fast, versatile, easy, worry free and elegant. DEUS Quik-Set Anchors set in seconds, are one-hand adjustable to any length from zero to 25 ft, and require no knot tying or edge protection.

DEUS Quik-Set Anchors can be set and adjusted in seconds with one hand. Carry them completely pre-rigged and ready to use. Just clip the carabiners on each end and adjust the length in the middle — done. The entire process takes ten seconds and the result is a secure anchor just where you need it. No knots to tie, no guessing about position or length, and no worries about edge protection.
•
DEUS Quik-Set Anchors are engineered anchors. They are factory rigged, tested and ready to use. No need to worry about whether the parts are compatible, if the anchor has weak links or was rigged properly.
•
Each DEUS Quik-Set Anchor uses 25 ft of DEUS 12 mm Belay Rope. This technical kernmantle rope has a tough polyester sheath and a durable nylon core. It is super strong at 6,295 lbf MBS, resistant to abrasions and cuts, and NFPA 1983 (06-ED) “L” certified. Available in black or white to differentiate a work anchor from a training anchor.
•
Each DEUS Quik-Set Anchor uses the DEUS QS Rope Grab. The QS rope grab is designed to grip if the load is less than 1,200 lbs and slip if the load is more than 1,200 lbs. The slip absorbs shock load to reduce injury and grip resumes when the load falls below 1,200 lbs. The DEUS QS rope grab can be positioned anywhere along the anchor rope with one hand to adjust anchor length.
•
Each DEUS Quik-Set Anchor uses a DEUS #4 “O”. The DEUS “O” increases endtermination durability and strength. The “O” is pre-tied to one end of the 25 ft DEUS 12 mm Belay Rope. Construction is black anodized machined aluminum.
•
Each DEUS Quik-Set Anchor uses a 4 ft DEUS ROW G Anchor Choker. The ROW (Rope-OverWire) is the perfect anchor strap. In the Quik-Set Anchor, the ROW is the terminating end that hangs over the edge of a building or window — the part that takes abuse from a sharp edge. The ROW is flexible, fast, easy to use, versatile (basket, choker, end-to-end or klemheist rigging), hand-friendly, tough, strong and requires no edge protection — NO EDGE PROTECTION! The DEUS G ROW is made by braiding black polyester rope over galvanized steel cable, and doubleswaging each end over steel thimbles. The thimbles are two different sizes so one can slip through the other for choker and klemheist rigging. The DEUS G ROW used in the Quik-Set Anchor is NFPA 1983 (06-ED) “G” rated (NFPA’s highest rating).
•
A DEUS black rubber-coated-wire rope-tie organizes the coiled anchor and keeps it from tangling. Silent in use.
•
Each DEUS Quik-Set Anchor includes three carabiners. All are triple-lock, key-lock, black, pre-connected and ready to use. Choose aluminum (NFPA “L”) or steel (NFPA “G”).
The DEUS Tactical Carry/Deploy Bag The Tactical Carry/Deploy bag, included in the DEUS Tactical Response Kit, makes rigging for tactical rappelling, evacuation or rescue quick and easy. Designed to be carried by one person, it separates into two separate bags to facilitate rapid rigging.
•
The DEUS Tactical Carry/Deploy Bag is sized to hold everything needed for tactical descent, evacuation or rescue. It can hold a DEUS 3200 controlled descent device with rope and connectors, two DEUS Quik-Set Anchor Kits, extra optional rigging straps and carabiners, and an optional DEUS RTU Kit.
•
The DEUS Tactical Carry/Deploy Bag is a two-part bag. One side holds the DEUS 3200 controlled descent system with rope and connectors (descent device, rope, extension lanyard, carabiners). The other side of the bag holds the DEUS Quik-Set Anchor Kit. On site, the bag separates so one person can set the anchor while the other prepares for descent. When separated, the controlled descent section of the bag clips to your belt or harness so rope stays concealed during descent.
