WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK? Follow That Moose
Canyonlands National Park is generally open 24 hours a day, year-round. Visitor numbers are highest from March to October, especially on weekends and holidays with Easter, Memorial Day and Labor Day being the busiest. Visit early in the day to avoid lines at the entrance station and traffic along the park road. The weather can vary throughout the districts of Canyonlands. Spring and fall are ideal times to visit with daytime temperatures of 60 to 80°F. Summer can see highs exceed 100°F and the late summer monsoon season can cause flash floods. Consider visiting in the Winter, taking advantage of off-season hotel rates and generally milder sunny weather with highs averaging 30°F to 50ºF. Occasional winter snowfall adds to the already amazing scenery. The weather can change quickly in any season so always check for the latest conditions on the National Parks Service website or at the park visitors centre before starting your visit.
