STABILITY
HORIZONTAL DEFLECTION (WIND LOAD)
Elevator core
Stability wall d = 300 mm
Wind bracing
The eastern wind creates a displacement in x-direction. The core and windbracing prevent this displacement, and therefore their reaction is opposite to the windload.
Basement wall d = 450 mm
X DIRECTION Max deformation, 2,7 mm
Bubble deck floor d = 450 mm CHS 323,9 / 25,0
The centre of gravity of the combined reaction force of the core and windbracing is eccentric to the windload. This creates a torsion in the construction, and therefore deformation in the ydirection. Reaction forces in the stability walls in y-direction create an opposing moment, and prevent further deformation.
400 x 400 C28/35 Y DIRECTION Max deformation, 1,0 mm
