PHYSIOTHERAPY@RGU:WELLNESS OVERVIEW Work related injury, sickness absence and non-work related injury have a huge cost impact on workforce productivity and effectiveness in both the private and public sector. At a personal level they affect the health and welfare of individuals, their families and their colleagues. Robert Gordon University’s professional physiotherapy and podiatry service offers a comprehensive range of therapies and treatments to business organisations to allow their workforce to get back on track after injury or illness and to rehabilitate them back to work fitness. We aim to work with you to minimise work-place injury by workforce screening, work- based ergonomic assessment and preventative prehabilitation. WHAT WE OFFER Our clinic is staffed by a team of highly qualified healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists and podiatrists, with extensive experience in the management of work related and musculo-skeletal injury. The clinic is easy to access within the University’s RGU:SPORT facility at Garthdee and is supported by a range of other services and staff including the Human Performance Laboratory and Imaging Suite and our wide network of relevant specialists within the UK. We provide a prompt flexible service which aims to give a professional assessment of injury and a diagnosis before creating a client and business focused management programme to get the individual back to work. Our ethos is twofold; firstly, to provide a professional end to end service where we will be with you every step of the way and secondly, to help clients and businesses to help themselves. We will work closely with your occupational health department and health care providers to provide the best care possible for your employees. We will liaise with the client’s General Practitioner and arrange onward referral, if required, to relevant specialists and diagnostic services such as MRI and Ultrasound scans. If necessary, we can provide services at your place of work or within the client’s home.
