Greek Bronze Corinthian Helmet An ancient Greek bronze helmet of the Corinthian type, with curvilinear eye holes that taper to a point, a wide nose guard, broad cheek pieces that leave a vertical opening for the mouth, and a border that has been drilled with holes to secure an interior lining. Traces of the original crest are evident in the patina. Ca. 600-550 BC. Height: 9 1/2 in. (24.5 cm); weight: 1782 gm. Intact.

Attic Red-Figure Kylix: Dionysos An ancient Attic Greek red-figure kylix by the Tarquinia Painter, with a disk foot and lateral handles. In the tondo, Dionysos wears a garland, reclines on a wine skin, and drinks from a phiale. On the exterior six nude athletes train for the long jump with weighted halteres in their hands. An Etruscan graffito under the foot names the ancient owner, "Fikhines."

Egyptian Limestone Relief An ancient Egyptian limestone sunk relief depicting four male figures pulling a sledge which would have carried a cult image of Osiris, whose name is inscribed in hieroglyphs at the far top right, the male figure in the middle turned towards the god, burning incense, next to him a column of hieroglyphs reads, "making an incense offering," the figure on the far right empties a vessel in front of the missing sledge. Neolithic Vinca Terracotta Head of a Bison An ancient Neolithic Vinca large terracotta pottery lid in the form of the head of a reclining horned animal. The head is molded with bovine ears and horns but with a distinctly human nose. The surface is incised to indicate large eyes and a thick mane.
