Egyptian Limestone Relief An ancient Egyptian limestone sunk relief depicting four male figures pulling a sledge which would have carried a cult image of Osiris, whose name is inscribed in hieroglyphs at the far top right, the male figure in the middle turned towards the god, burning incense, next to him a column of hieroglyphs reads, "making an incense offering," the figure on the far right empties a vessel in front of the missing sledge. Probably from Saqqara. New Kingdom XIXth Dynasty, Ca. 1320-1200 BC. Width: 19 1/2 in. (49.4 cm).

Ares sits in the center wearing a crested helmet, he has been disarmed of his sword by two erotes that fly above. Aphrodite is to the left holding her scepter. Greek Bronze Corinthian Helmet An ancient Greek bronze helmet of the Corinthian type, with curvilinear eye holes that taper to a point, a wide nose guard, broad cheek pieces that leave a vertical opening for the mouth, and a border that has been drilled with holes to secure an interior lining. Traces of the original crest are evident in the patina. Ca. 600-550 BC. Height: 9 1/2 in. (24.5 cm); weight: 1782 gm. Intact.
