Six new schools to be built in Dublin 15 Minister Quinn announces new national initiative

THERE was a major boost for parents in Dublin 15 this week following the announcement that six new primary and postprimary schools are to be built in the area, which has undergone a population explosion in recent years, causing a massive
demand for school places. The announcement, made by Education Minister Ruairi Quinn, will see 40 new schools created nationwide over a sixyear timeframe. The €380 million project will see six new schools established in Dublin West within the six years. These will include new
primary schools in Blanchardstown West (Educate Together), Mulhuddart (Educate Together), Mulhuddart Gael Scoil and Carpenterstown. The new post primary schools will be located in Mulhuddart and West Blanchardstown. Full Story on Page 4
