Gardai appeal after robbery at bookies Armed pair took cash as staff were threatened
Q LAURA WEBB
GARDAI have launched a major appeal to the public for information following an armed robbery at the Castleknock Bookmakers. On Monday, January 16, at approximately 4pm, two masked men entered Pat Too-
lan’s bookmakers in Castleknock village. One of the men produced what Gardai believe to be an iron bar before threatening staff and demanding cash from the cashier. A window at one of the counters was smashed and the cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. Both
males fled the scene in what is believed to be a red Nissan saloon car. Gardai are appealing to anyone with information in relation to the incident to get in contact with Blanchardstown Garda station on 01-6667000 or call the confidential line on 1800-666-111.
