New €70k slide set alight by vandals laura webb
VANDALS have left children without the use of a new €70,000 tower slide at a popular Dublin 15 park after it was set on fire. The tower slide in the Millennium Park in Coolmine was set alight on Saturday, October 27. Fingal County Council said they “strongly condemn” the person or persons who “maliciously van-
dalised a brand new piece of playground equipment at Millennium Park in Blanchardstown”. The tower slide was installed just two weeks before it was damaged and, according to FCC, in that short space of time has been a “fantastic attraction for the thousands of young children who use the facility”. Cookin’ good: North Dublin chef wows judges at food awards A BUDDING chef from north Dublin picked up an award at the Easy Food Home-Cook Hero awards ceremony, which took place at the Shelbourne Hotel recently. Broadcaster Marty Whelan congratulated Castleknock’s Osna
Campbell at the black-tie event, with her unique dish one of three Dublin dishes that impressed judges. Osna’s expert culinary skills make cooking look so easy, said the judges, praising her style and, of course, her delicious dish.
