Recycling firm to create 112 new jobs Levy increase on Q PAUL HOSFORD

A TOTAL of 112 new jobs are set to be created in Clondalkin and Ballymount by Greyhound Recycling and Recovery. The jobs creation comes following the Government’s decision to increase the land-
fill levy from the current €30 per tonne to €75 per tonne by July, 2013. Greyhound, which is Ireland’s largest recycling company and currently employs 250 staff, will immediately start recruiting 50 new staff, who will be employed in Clondalkin and Ballymount
from September 1. The company recently consolidated its position as Ireland’s largest recycling company by completing a deal to buy South Dublin County Council’s waste collection business. Full Story on Page 7
