Huge funding boost for local cyclists Dowds welcomes award in excess of €120,000 for paths

UP to €120,000 will be made available for the installation of cycle tracks in Clondalkin. Labour TD Robert Dowds has welcomed the announcement by Junior Minister Alan Kelly of funding for the routes in Clondalkin, with construc-
tion set to begin in the coming months. “I am delighted that Minister Kelly has managed to find funding to construct new cycle routes in Lucan and Clondalkin, and, in particular, the new routes around Deansrath and Bawnogue. These cycle tracks are invaluable for
helping residents making short trips around Clondalkin. “The funding for some of the routes is set to be up to €120,000 for planning and construction. This will help create more kilometres of safe, accessible and convenient cycle routes for our local residents.”
