AN BORD Pleanala has granted planning permission to the HSE for a primary care centre on Boot Road. The decision came just before Christmas. The conditions on the permission will see part of the nursing home aspect of the plan reduced, and the building of four storeys instead of the original five. Local Labour TD Robert Dowds
said that although there were some things in the decision to be pleased with, he still has concerns. “While I am happy that An Bord Pleanala has acted on the concerns raised by residents by directing the developers to reduce the size of the building to be constructed, I am still of the view that there are issues with that particular site,” he said. A wish come true: Taking in a great prize organised by locals TOP stylist Brendan Courtney
was on hand to give Geraldine Kiely his advice when he met her as part of an event organised by Clondalkin volunteers from the Make A Wish foundation. The local men and women put together
a great prize, which was won by the Athlone lady, and which saw Geraldine meet Brendan, enjoy a makeover with clothes from House of Fraser, and enjoy a luxurious new hairstyle, courtesy of Toni & Guy, as well as other great prizes.
