Locals, on the other hand, had their feathers ruffled by the bizarre sight – which was nothing to do with the Lucan Festival, but, more mundanely, was caused by the accidental overuse of a harmless dye being used to trace the water flow – creating this quacking sight in the process. Air traffic increase at Weston Airport Facility operator Q PAUL HOSFORD
reports a rise in flights since May
THE company operating Weston Airport on behalf of NAMA has reported an increase in air traffic at the facility since May, a development that is unlikely to please local residents. T he air por t, formerly
owned by Jim Mansfield, is seeking a buyer through KPMG. In a customer update, Premier Aviation’s John McCallion also said the airport was on track to increase the workforce at Weston executive airport to 200 people, and was now a self-sustaining
business. The company was aiming to make sure it stayed a going concern. However, local residents are likely to be unhappy with any increase in air traffic at Weston, given past complaints over noise levels at the facilty.
